Much as I love a gossip, I don’t like armchair diagnosing people. But a very dear friend of mine went through a similar experience to what Beth seems to have been going through (based on what info we’ve pieced together here) and as much as I don’t like her, I hope someone close to her is checking she’s okay.

My friend had a difficult pregnancy both physically - preeclampsia and an unplanned section - and emotionally (she lost her lovely mum unexpectedly around the 7 month mark). All that combined put her in a very bad headspace post-birth, and we almost lost her. Beth is insufferable, but I hope that if she is struggling she gets help sooner rather than later instead of pushing herself past breaking point.

Why is she leaving her baby with Nick (Apparently she's owed time, when she should be spending time as a family) to go to the cinema on her own....mum of the year award here! This woman is so insufferable...

Beth is creature but this comment is so bleeping stupid. Is she not allowed a break? Or to have some time to herself? Everyone’s arm chair diagnosing her as struggling post birth so perhaps she needs a bit of time away. Women don’t have to stay glued to their children 34/7. It’s not the 14th century.

I would have LOVED this to be an option for me! (Baby was born during covid so no one was leaving the house 🫠) It’s so important that mums get some time to themselves, it’s so easy for new mums to get into a bad headspace and lose themselves. I feel like she is struggling a bit so hopefully this will give her a few hours to breathe.

Same here! We would fight over who got to do the shopping to get a break 🙈
I would often have an "illegal" non essential trip to Sainsbury's just to get out of the house on my own for a bit 😂

I must admit I was a little surprised when I saw she was leaving baby to go the cinema. Not because I think there is anything wrong but Mum's having time to themself etc, I know it's needed... but he's only 4 weeks old isn't he? I know when mine were that little I wouldn't have enjoyed being away for hours.
Agree with others though that she might be finding mum life difficult, maybe a little break will do her good.

Nah this is the most I’ve related to her about anything to do with her pregnancy. The idea that a mum has to spend every waking moment with their baby is a wild one.
