Poor Ziggy. She didn’t get a girl so she gives him a bun and beige life. I love my son, dress him like my son and he’s got a colourful life. Imagine the gender disappointment lasting 2 years of his life… poor kid
If you saw Ziggy in the wild and didn’t know who he was, you’d have no idea if he was a boy or girl. Which is exactly what she wants.

Also… goes to Rome and moans about crowds. What did she expect??? Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps… that’s like going to Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square and expecting it not to be crowded. Unbelievable.

Flabbergasted that she’s traveled to Rome with ‘no research’ & with a toddler and has the audacity to moan that it’s too busy. Her level of arrogance is unbelievable
Remember this is Beth , the intrepid female traveler who led us all a merry dance , leading us to believe she was visiting far flung places on her own, when in fact she was traveling with her teacher boyfriend all along

to be honest so what if people do do that...
There’s nothing wrong with it. If you want to get nice photos of course you have to get there before the peak times. But she can’t complain about how busy it is and how people make it look empty just because they got there early, that is literally what she did when she was travelling! I remember a blog post she did about how she had to get up at 5am when she was in India to take photos of her at the Taj Mahal.

Quick look on Instagram…

“We’re very well travelled and this is Ziggy’s 6th country before the age of 2.” Beth, taking your very pale skinned baby to hot climates on freebie holidays doesn’t make you a better Mum than someone who goes to a Parkdean resort hun. Ps. I can only see 5 countries in her highlights, has she just added an extra one on for the extra quirkiness? 🙄

If it’s true that she went to Rome without doing any research, then I think it’s a bit rich of her to complain. Yes, it’s a difficult city to navigate with a stroller because of the cobblestones and the crowds in touristy areas. But the food is amazing for kids of any age and people are beyond friendly to kids. It’s easily manageable with some planning and expectation setting (for the grown-ups that is - I don’t think visiting the colosseum with a baby is a genius idea for example). Also, all the food she’s shared pictures of is disgusting and 100% aimed at tourists (sneakers tiramisu 🙄). I don’t want to be snob, I’m just annoyed at how uncultured she is but pretends she can judge destinations.

This post is peak smug. In the comments she keeps reminding people of how well travelled she is, and that she loves other cities for her toddler.

come off it

You can be a seasoned traveller and not like everywhere

and sometimes people are right when they say “not ideal for kids”

It’s one of my favourite places on earth but Rome took me a few visits before I could fall in love it it, mainly because it is so busy and overwhelming in the tourist areas. I’d never go in peak summer or Lent.

I particularly enjoy the comments of people whose toddlers loved it - and Beth’s defensive responses

Couldn’t agree more! She’s pretty much discounted an entire country because she was admittedly unprepared and uninformed, and Rome has cobbled streets and busy tourist attractions like any other capital city then she’s doubling down in the comments and all the pearl clutcher followers are swallowing her every word and cancelling their plans. Absolutely pathetic 🤣

Happy for them all to leave Italy to the rest of us, but it does make me howl when people make sweeping generalisations like this. Does Beth think no one under the age of two lives in Rome, or other tourist destinations in Italy? Or.. do parents with young kids just get on with life instead of moaning on IG that their holiday didn’t meet their content making expectations? Which is what this is probably all about.
