Well, that and - if you can believe it - they (KT) has actually had other people (not recognizable - to guest services - or to him) lodge complaints about security - specifically him - about "harassing" them and saying he was rude to them and their "family".

It's not an accident he is nice and smiles when the camera is on. Believe me when I tell you - he and most (if not all) of security can't wait til they can shut down the live streamers and vloggers.

They are like cockroaches - BLOB specifically - they make people think its easy money - what's worse - is it's stupid easily influence-able who follow blob - so they try the to do the same thing. It's no mistake that most people they "shout out" on instagram or repost are other wanna-be influencers.

It's all one big grift. All of it. And if you get in the way - you get blocked or reported for harassment (plenty of cast members have reported this). So despite the bullshit they spew - they hate cast members just as much as tattlers.

Yet, you beg for your stans to pay you $40/month in return for a 1 hour livestream once a week, if you feel like it. And you say you couldn't do it without them

This. After speaking with Chris S, BLAB is not liked. They are tolerated as paying guests. And if they can witness first hand promotion of clothing,etc on a livestream they can do something. So sorry KT, Disney does not have cameras everywhere and biometrics or ways to obtain fingerprints like ”you” posted. These motherfuckers still running outdated systems.

Chapek is a lifer who was promoted far above his ability or skills. He should have stayed managing the Disney Vault and never have been put in charge of the parks, much less the whole company.

I have a bone to pick with Iger, too. He had talent, but lacked creativity and artistry. He may have been an excellent #2 in command. When Eisner was being pushed out, Roy didn’t want Iger to be made the head because he felt he would be a detriment to the long term health of the company. This turned out to be true. Creativity and innovation have kind of stagnated. To disguise it, he bought others’ intellectual properties to use. He hamfisted the cash cow of Star Wars in his rush to milk it dry. (It made money, but nothing like what it could have been had time been taken to plan out well designed and thought out stories, making good use of beloved legacy characters.) He patched over the parks with cheaper quick fixes with popular characters instead of creating new classics. Plus he misguidedly blew wads of cash unwisely (Avatarland instead of a timeless and thematically correct modern version of the original Beastly Kingdom plan, or theming Star Wars land to the Disney trilogy when Imagineering was telling him it needed to be based more on the classic version.). He also got way too obsessed with chasing after China. He created the environment that allowed Chapek to rise to dizzying heights.

Disney is at its best when there’s a creative-oriented #1 working closely with (and at times being shepherded by) a strong, financially responsible #2, and when many of the executives have past experience having done some Disney grunt work (like working in the parks at some time) and are required to regularly visit the park as a guest would (to have an accurate understanding of guest experiences).

I’ve gotten fired up and gone off on a tangent. Iger at least saw some value in the creatives, even though he wasn’t one himself. BLAB probably doesn’t think deeper than what color the cupcakes are this week. If they were rich, they’d be Chapek’s target audience.

The #1 reason why I'm in no rush to head back to a Disney park after a 3-year hiatus, honestly. If you like Star Wars and Marvel then I imagine there's plenty to do/see... if you loathe them, well... There is less and less interest. :confused: ToT going Marvel was the nail in the coffin for me. Would just love to see more originality but what are you going to do? They want to make money and they're business people with their own ideas. On the plus side, I haven't had to pay for park hopper anymore.

Happy to finally have a wiki for these guys but my hat's off to whoever edits that thing. The receipts and storyline of these two are extensive.

I agree. NO ONE running Disney is in it for good, lol, it’s all about making money. At least the way iger did it, he was looking at the long term, upping the customers experience so they’d come for generations. Chapek seems to be interested in fast cash without wanting to hold a customer, probably because he realizes that (like KT says) Disney won’t price some people out. Ever.

I think that Disney is listening to at least some of the complaints people are making because, in the 5x I’ve gone after covid, the first four had the most awful/rancid/disgusting bathrooms and this past time ALL the bathrooms were SPOTLESS the entire time we were there.(I know we’re not post covid. I meant post lockdown)

The best part of us not being into marvel is being able to skip the land and have time for other stuff. (Although the new Spider-Man ride was fun!)

I had assumed it operated like a shared Google document, where you see other people working in real-time. Turns out not, so I never saw anything anyone else tried to write. I was over there, obliviously working to set up a framework for it.

As a note to anyone adding to the wiki, don’t have the window open, writing away because it looks like you don’t see simultaneous work. I guess what’s best is to do your writing in a document, then copy and paste in your work quickly to minimize the chance of competing work-saving clashes and overrides.

Again, sorry. This is new to me and I’m figuring it out as I go. I’m not going to touch it again for the rest of the day so I don’t mess up again.

I learned more about Disney from this post than I have from listening to hours and hours or BLAB's nonsense. Can anyone here recommend a good book for more of this? (Other than Disney Wars; something preferably more modern.)

Not to step on anyones toes but I feel like if anyone should be writing in the Wiki it’s @Lalo Salamanca. Lalo has been here a long time. Not saying we all can’t add from time to time but you know the saying if there’s too many chefs in the kitchen…
