Below Deck #4

I've seen the chef be woken at night so many times, even by captain sandy once. She's full of it.

I was so embarrassed at how Aesha handled the provisioning, telling the guests there's been a "duck up" was so unprofessional. Even in New Zealand which has a very casual culture I'd never expect a waitress or anything to say that and I'd never say it to a customer at my job.

Aesha was so unprofessional with how she spoke to the guests about the provisioning! As others say, just send someone to get booze from a restaurant even!
---
Did anyone else get the ick with the deck crew panting over the girls? Maybe I'm just too old and past it, but it made me shudder.
It was also extremely unprofessional the way she spoke to the employee at the provisioners.

This annoys me about all of them once they realise they are "stars". Their attitude does change.

That stew waking the chef up - is she the one that's new to the job? Surely think on your feet and say to the guests "OK I can do some tacos or grilled cheese" rather than say yes to all their requests knowing you're working alone and the chef is asleep.

Also it's only one episode in but Aesha is getting on my nerves and I used to like her! 😂
I like her on Down Under she has a nice relationship with Captain Jason

Same here. Her big loud personality seemed natural when she first started but now she's a TV personailty it's become her shtick, milking it with the gurning, gaffawing and constant talk about bodily functions. As for her telling the guests that something "f*cked up", so wrong, I was shocked than anyone in a service role can think that would ever be appropriate.

Yeah, did we like her last time?
The fact she tried to twist it saying she didn't want him to be in trouble.
Love your job is handling the guests, all she had to say was the chef is asleep, blame the delay in the provisions, saying he's gone to bed late, can't be disturbed or you won't get breakfast in the morning, your options are cheese toasties, or nibbles, and if you want drinks there's only 1 of me so you need to choose what you want first, drinks or nibbles?

So much of the final tip depends on the food - I feel like if I was the chef and I knew what a bad foot the group had started on with the provisions drama, I would have gotten out of bed to make up for it. It’s not the right call to wake the chef every time, but this could have been a good opportunity to make things right for the guests!
