I've heard her mention having menopausal brain fog type memory issues etc but I think that she's
always done it...at least for a very long time anyway.
My OH can't stand listening to her for that reason (also because he finds Zoe annoyingly overdramatic, hyper and scatty), but if he wants me to get his brekky and packed lunch ready (while I'm doing my own!) then he unfortunately has to put up with it!
My trusty little old DAB radio, in the kitchen, is permanently stuck on R2 (can't change station due to a cracked display screen, from when a tin fell out the cupboard above and landed on it!), so he gets the pleasure of me singing along to all kinds of rubbish!
It's seen a lot of use but I can't bear to part with it (the semi-broken radio, not the partner!) so it just stays tuned in to R2 which kind of suits my tastes anyway, most of the time.
Is it a bit weird to be so sentimentally attached to an old-skool mains-powered radio, especially in this day and age, when I can just use my phone or other gadgets to play radio/music? Call me old-fashioned but I just think there's something special about listening to live radio, as it's being broadcast, on an actual radio with proper buttons to press and knobs/dials to turn.
Just read that back. I sound like I'm turning into Jeremy Vine!
