Aussie WAGS - Bec Judd, Nadia Bartel and the rest! #2

I don’t know why so many people are obsessed with saying people are on Ozempic. In reality it’s likely to be Mounjaro as this isn’t in short supply and is more effective but who cares? I hate hate people commenting on others bodies whatever shape and size they are. They don’t owe us anything - unless they are selling a different story.

People can’t win - are told they are fat pigs if they are overweight but slammed if they do something about it. I’ve been on Mounjaro for a few months and it’s been amazing for me. I am not losing weight fast but at least I’m going in the right direction. I have done literally everything and with menopause, hip surgery and migraine medication contributing to weight gain, nothing has helped until now.

Couldn’t care less if people use Ozempic or Mounjaro to lose weight.
I take issue with influencers like Emma who become ambassadors or promote fitness subscriptions like 28 by Sam Wood/Fit Az Fk etc and monetise from that without sharing the entire story. Its great if they are creating healthy habits to get the most of the weight loss injections but don’t hide it and say the vulnerable followers (with Emma likely other mothers) to buy into this program to lose weight like her.

I too couldn’t care but just own it. Aka. Chrissy Swan and EmmyLou walking and journaling 🙄

1000000%!

It’s the lying I hate. Ash Pollard the same, eats so much rubbish and barely exercises but lost heaps of weight promoting some fitness thing she got paid for

Zero shade to those on it - hey, I’m one of those people myself! Personally, it’s working and has enabled some really positive changes which will go far beyond relying on the prescription.

Like the above comments, it’s the lack of transparency. Emma is not a bigger person by any means, either. So it’s interesting that she would go down that path. But, everyone is different and it’s our bodies at the end of the day!

Not gonna lie.. I just wish I knew how to get it! :ROFLMAO:
I started getting it online through Mosh - I couldn’t get into my GP for ages and we had discussed previously that he was happy for me to go on it. Once it was readily available I switched back to getting it from the GP which is about $100 cheaper a month.

I also saw a dietician to give me to best chance if long term success and have made lots of changes to my lifestyle which is crucial. I was only 15-20kg overweight but that was causing other issues and with knee and hip problems it is really important to get weight down to reduce the load on my joints.

We have a plan for me to be on it until I’m at a weight I’m happy with then I’ll go on the lowest dose for a bit and come off it totally.

I was on ozempic until recently when I suffered acute pancreatitis. I agree with you. People on here use it as a criticism and that is unfair. Incidentally, my bariatric surgeon prescribes a migraine tablet for weight loss. It’s called Topamax. Thought I’d mention it as you mentioned suffering migraines.

I had WLS 14 years ago and lost 60kg but gained 40kg since about 2018. I just started Ozempic and tomorrow I’m upping the dose to 0.5mg.

I did ask for Wegovy but the chemist gave me Ozmepic 🤷‍♀️

How much do the other two cost?
