Absolutely.

Also:
She was single for six years
She doesn’t need a partner but she forced Tommy to be her boyfriend
She misses London
She has a friend for every occasion
She went through lockdown
She can’t believe how much has changed from being single to cohabiting with two children
How has she forced Tommy to be her boyfriend? Seems an odd thing to say, lol how do you force someone?

‘forced’ is her wording, not mine

Do we think they can afford boarding school?
If she prioritises it.
I can see “SEN provisions are so much better in Essex than London so Alf is there Sunday - Friday. We don’t want to drag him away from friends at the weekend either. He’s not been assessed but my instinct says it’s the best environment for our sensitive soul” 🤪

I keep wondering if Alf has just been stunted and allowed to be fussy rather than have real neuro diversity. Did they try to advance from “that’s not my” books or just think “he likes them, let’s keep buying them”. Did they just not fancy the argument over food or Hair or whatever else there is and not know how to deal so just went with it or is it deeper?
A lot of things we’ve found ours can do by accident, like doing big puzzles at their cousins or eating food usually refused when with friends. And there’s stuff I never expected they’d be able to do but let them try and they can. If Alf isn’t exposed to things, and Ash doesn’t see other kids either, he’ll only ever do what she offers him and she won’t know what’s appropriate?

I was thinking this too, I do wonder whether he's just been stunted by his parents. Obviously it doesn't matter whether he's ND or not, he just needs the love and support of his parents. Which he's not getting, ND or not

Edit. Ahh, don't want to sound like Trash. It does and it doesn't matter, in terms of love it doesn't matter but in terms of getting him the correct help it matters.

I won’t be surprised if he’s at school in Frinton.
living with TNB and the no balls clan? there aren't very many boarding schools in that part of the world.

Regardless, boarding in most schools starts at 9-10 years old. This is due to increased costs so schools have had to limit, but also because its not in the developmental interests of the child to be boarding before then. The school i boarded at briefly used to start at 7 but now they only start at 9.

Besides, i really doubt they can afford it.

Not boarding school, but living with Nana. She was a nurse so she’ll know best.

They need to get on with the house sale. Although Alf doesn’t start school for 18 months, the application opens this November. If they haven’t moved by then they can’t rely on a space in London if they have to do a late change application.

That’s where I think the Frinton thing will happen - “we aren’t yet settled in London so we’re keeping things as easy as possible for Alf by letting him stay with NNB for the start of school”

Yes that’s what I was meaning. So she can get rid of him from primary age and not pay for boarding. I was being faceticious but could genuinely see it.
