How are they going to cope in London? Surely it’s too far for NNB to pop round all the time. Unless they’re both in full time childcare - but then that will be mega expensive
This is what I don’t understand, she seems to hyper focused on ‘London’ as a concept and her life in her 20s that she’s being completely unrealistic about how their life will actually look. A nanny and 2 nursery places will cost a lot more in London than it does out in Essex, plus at the minute they rely so much on Rara and NNB being flexible and dropping in without much notice to take the kids. That’s simply not going to be possible in London.
Plus it will take them time to get a childcare place in Battersea! They only went with their childminder as it was the only place with a space at the last minute because ashley didn’t bother to look into it early enough.

She will have way less freedom in London that she does now, I really can’t understand why she thinks it will be the opposite.

I guess she’s thinking they only have his swimmers to whip off on holiday. I’ve never potty trained (yet!) but do you leave nappies off completely I assume? Doesn’t sound ideal if he’s going to be in the pool without a swim nappy on….
Everyone does it differently! Nappies off for sure. I always found it easiest to let them run around naked for a few days to get the hang of it. My daughter trained just after her first birthday 😵‍💫. She’d strip her clothes/nappy off and take herself, which is why we had to commit, but still did a day or so naked. I do think she was a freak of nature 😂. Maybe Ash planning on nappy pants and just constantly taking him to the potty so he doesn’t pee in it, but who knows.

He will absolutely need a swim nappy in the pool 😅. Our local pools all have a rule that kids need to wear a swim nappy until they turn four!

We did the help to buy with our flat! I think she has bought that loan out and remortgaged herself because oh my god the red tape. You absolutely arent allowed to rent out under any circumstances and you can just buy another property like they have their family home. They have to sign off if you want to change mortgage provider. Its a headache!

She still had the HTB loan last year (18 months after buying the Brentwood house and renting her flat out - neither of which she should have done without paying the loan or getting approval (I believe they only approve in difficult circumstances and for 12 months)

She's grade A so she knows something we don't 😂

The fact she said a snide “and it’s not in my house” about potty training on holiday shows where her priorities are.

I did it all wrong in the sense of using nappies like pants when we leave the house but it’s worked out fine. I accept there’s more than one way to do it. Our journeys almost always involve a stretch of the dual carriage way and the distress of an accident in pants was too much. They’ve been dry at home for probably 6 months but it was a 5 min max between “I need a wee” and it coming, so nappies were a back up. Now they can go before we leave or hold it longer we’re all good and they understood, they didn’t ‘want’ to go in the nappy. We’ve got a 2 hour motorway trip coming up, I’ll use a nappy then too. You got to do what you got to do

I swing between she and TNB splitting and thinking she just would never but either way, I 100% think London will come with a live in Nanny which is why she thinks she’ll have so much time in the evenings.

i wonder if that’s why it’s registered under a company name now. Some sort of dodge. It’s under A.Rivers on companies house.

Well she’s in for a shock. Nannies clock off! The general hours for a live-in are 7-7. That’s still a 60 hour week without weekends, it’s a bloody hard slog so when the nanny clocks off, you don’t generally disturb them for anything less than an avalanche or biblical flood.

She won’t be able to afford it anyway, not even at junior nanny rates.

Her new grid post isn’t marked as an ad.
It has to be clear and at the start before anyone reads the post. It didn’t say ad ANYWHERE but clearly is as she’s used specific #

Don’t shame your kids unless you forget to hide the iPad and film it for content.

She also has the ‘paid partnership’ at the top so definitely has just not done her job properly...as usual!

Such an outdated view that toys should be gendered. I don’t know anyone that thinks this way these days. Why does she pretend like that’s the prevailing view and she’s going against the grain.
She often takes a minority view and says ‘society says’.

When I was looking for the evidence of her labour lies, there were multiple posts about her mum, no mention of a strained relationship.

Also mentions of how she thought she’d have kids by 30 then began to change her mind about if she wanted them at all which make much more sense than her “I always imagined I’d have kids” next to “I never wanted kids”.

Absolute lols that she thinks she will potty train on holiday and that’s coming from someone who has just potty trained and it actually went much smoother than expected. We had low expectations and expected to be stuck at home for days on end until our child nailed it but he did so well. There’s no way Ashley will be involved in Alfie’s potty training. It’ll be the childminder or Tommy’s mum.

She is just a twit. Every parent I've ever known have bought whatever their kids wanted to play with. My boys have had kitchens and dolls, even a dolls pram. They never wanted to play with them much beyond the age of 4 or 5 but that was their choice. She isn't going against the grain she's just doing what the vast majority of parents do.
