Ashley James #3 Alf’s room lit up like Blackpool Illumination. Is she regretting her little creation?

Her post about alfs check and being ‘relieved’ he weighs enough as she was concerned with the breast feeding and wasn’t sure if he was putting on enough weight. Girl you’re child is 11 months- why you been worrying for 11 months about something important like that! There’s places you can go and get your child weighed. She speaks absolute shite.

She just makes it so hard for herself. She says she won't entertain people who give their own views / opinions about the vaccine.... Then screenshots messages explaining herself.

Maybe just don't?!

I thought this. I’m BF too and worried on and off about my baby’s weight so I take him every 4 weeks to be weighted which I have to call up and book or book the next one in when I’m there. But yeh if she was that bothered about it she’s have contacted the midwife. Also as she keeps saying she’s not seen one since he was born, she could call up and tell them she is struggling and they would come out because that’s what they do. If they don’t hear from you then they assume you’re ok until they see you for the one year check up. She needs to be more proactive.

She would have been discharged from the midwives after ten days like everyone else surely so why would she expect calls from them after that. If she needs support she needs to pick up the phone to her health visitor. People like her are so painful 🥴

In my trust we had several health visitor appointments and that’s how I think it should be. New mothers need support and it shouldn’t be wholly on them to reach out. There is obviously an element of personal responsibility but you have so much on you might not be in the place to recognise what you need which is why there should be HV check ins. I actually think it’s pretty awful that Ashley has not had that.

I don’t know anyone that’s had that! You’re right though, it should be more that way

I’ve had two babies since just before lockdown and both I was discharged early and never heard of them again. She should ask to be referred to perinatal mental health if she is struggling (or anybody reading this) as they are the driving force to helping you with your struggles, health visitors are just a middle man basically.

The criteria for perinatal mental heart is extremely high in most areas, there either needs to be a diagnosed mental health issue (psychosis, personality disorders etc.) or significant struggles I.e suicidal thoughts/ attempts. I hate it when people moan about services , if you need them then ring them. I had my baby just before lockdown and have only had one visit from a health visitor but I am ok with that as I rang them when needed advice but I don’t expect them to be ringing me they have enough on their case loads as it is!

alf should be on 3 meals a day why is she worried about his weight? He’s also 11 month old and she has done nothing to act on her worries….. which makes it so obvious she just wanted to put it out there that she breast feeds 🙄🙄🙄
