Wow Cynthia has got the same ribs showing through her chest.

I always remember how Ariana looked before all the hair colour and plastic surgery. Just a nice, pretty, healthy looking young girl with lovely curly hair. You would never in a million years think it was the same person.

I don't think she has ever actually talked about it, but there have been several stories over the years that make me think yes. Jennette McCurdy, who was in Sam & Cat with her, has said more than once she got more money and used the fact she was 'favourite' to get away with stuff and brag on set while Jennette was called out even though they were supposed to be equals.

I don't know how to describe this but the overall feeling I've got from the interviews is that of an overreaction? Like this movie will be a life changing thing with a strong positive message etc. etc. - I like the musical but still can't see how this is going to be THAT revolutionasing.

Their bond seems like those relationships that have a hardcore honeymoon phase to later on crash very badly. Cynthia is about to get hurt from all of this.

Cynthia is a 37 yo woman - perhaps older to get into this thinspo thing, can't see her body holding it that well, she used to be radiant a few months ago, now vanishing.

I have to wonder if this where all their "bonding" with the crying comes in?

I get it's theatre behaviour and whatever (apparently) but their whole vibe together is odd

Just finished I'm Glad My Mom Died, and oh me oh my Jennette does *NOT* like her. Nothing but loving things to say about Miranda Cosgrove and Nathan Cress, but she gets icy whenever Ari comes up.

I do wonder what she thinks about her current state, given that Jennette has struggled with eating disorders since she was a young teenager and has been in therapy for it for some time.
 
Thing is they both need to distract from the negative press they have both had. Cynthia's whole poster issue and Arianas cheating scandal.

Crying and looking like a sweet innocent person helps. The gazing at each other, holding hands and not being able to finish an interview without crying is just annoying me. Plus Arianas goal of dressing like a child/lolita type is a bit much for me. Always wanted to appear young.

Yep, it's such insipid corporate storytelling.

But with Ariana's deal she stands to make $100 million + if it's a huge hit, so I can see why she'll be spinning whatever the fans will swallow for a parasocial relationship :LOL:

I hope they have a pay dispute and pubicly fall out with each other as Cynthia won't be making anywhere near the same money.
 
Those two are definitely not best friends, I don't care how many times they hold hands and cry when doing press stuff. And now that Ariana has been called out for blackfishing, she's morphing into some kind of anime character, her face is looking really odd.

The movie will probably be a lovely spectacle and all that, and will be forever immortalised in Primark pyjama sets and plastic lunchboxes. Which will no doubt last longer than Ariana's relationship with her own personal munchkin 🙄
