It's disgusting how she thinks that's funny and openly admits that. Zero class. 🤢

She buys "luxury" goods like she's buying a pack of gum or something. Constant consumerism on steroids. The amount she spent on this pair is probably just chump change to her. I'm sure there are other people who live like this, but honestly, this lifestyle is not aspirational for me. The amount of stuff she accumulates is anxiety-inducing. I'm not even impressed.

She only gets luxury stuff to show others on camera what she has, the ppl around her are just as dumb and dense and probably don't care, gotta impress someone right.
 
She’s a mess lol. She might pretend she’s so happy shopping, travelling and galavanting around Miami but I’m sure she’s miserable. We all saw her having 3 engagement parties, repeating the story of how Rob asked her to marry him again and again to her family and friends. And then getting dumped and attending a gazillion weddings as a bridesmaid in the years after (even her younger sister’s), then settling for her loser best friend because she hates being single. No amount of shopping or plastic surgery can ease the pain of being a 32 year old single woman in a super conservative environment where her value is based on whether she is in a relationship or has kids. I (almost) feel for her

Spot on. She is self-medicating with excessive consumption, cackling away like a jackal with that insane Audrey Peters (who is absolutely as manic as Amelia). But underneath there is a terrible void and clearly a great deal of pain. She is a cautionary tale for anyone aspiring to be a spoilt little rich girl; a pitiful figure.

I don't know how to phrase this eloquently but to me, her idea of beauty, despite being born and raised in London (or maybe because of that), is very similar to middle eastern girls who wish they weren't. Excessive blonde highlights, excessive plastic surgery to wipe out any trace of ethnic features, extremely revealing clothing to overcompensate for a background that they are uncomfortable with. I base this on my own experience with what I've observed over the years but insecurity bleeds from every pore of her body and inside of her head must be hell with a constant jury sitting on trial about how she still doesn't look the part. Despite all her money and beauty treatments and surgeries, I see a person who doesn't like herself, who has no sense of identity.

(I could go on a tangent about how capitalism and imperialism are force-feeding women the "White Western Ideal" so they keep spending more to become That Girl even though they will never succeed because the finish line keeps moving further, but I should't.)

I believe Amelia has that mixture of a sense of superiority underlined with a tremendous inferiority complex. The only thing she can use to feed her enormous ego is money so she overspends but money doesn't buy style or taste or real love, so she's still left with a gaping hole inside her mind that she doesn't know how to fill. She would do well to self reflect and figure out who she is when she puts down the labels, the postcode and the millionaire family, what she wants from her life and what she stands for, but I won't hold my breath. I'd feel sorry for her if she weren't such a liar.
