Alison Hammond

I didn't realise Alison has so many fans. Anyone saying anything remotely non-praise about her in the Fail comments section article about this being promptly put in their place.

I don't see that it's terrible to wonder why she handed over money if it was all lies? I mean, I don't believe him but Alison does not seem to make the best decisions.

And her current boyfriend, for someone who "wants to be private" she's talking about him...

Pete wicks has a dog program starting soon
He’s a better option for dog programmes as he really love dogs and does a lot of work with dog charities

She a gastric bypass years ago as well and didn’t lose this much. She may have been diagnosed as pre diabetic as ozempic etc has been around for years for diabetics.

Surely it's just greed to be on so many things, including adverts. I'm all for making hay while the sun shines, but the amount of opportunities that have been thrown her way is just a bit bemusing. Not even Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were on TV and adverts this much, and they were the golden presenters for many years.

I was pleased to see Dermot and Josie were presenting TM this week because Alison has started her panto, but they've somehow managed to feature her on nearly every episode. She's everywhere :cautious:

Saw that advertised, you can tell he loves dogs, Alison was a bad choice for Battersea, I only watched about 5mins, she is not a dog lover, though I don't mind her on bake off!
Why didn’t they get Kate Middleton’s brother to do it? I know he loves dogs. Hell I’d rather see dick dasterdly present it over her, she’s bloody awful! Paul O’Grady had such rapport with the staff at Battersea and he genuinely loved the dogs, you could tell he’d take them all home with him if he could. She’s ruined it.

It was a big "wtf were the thinking!" when they hired Alison in the first place but to give her a second series after all the criticism screams face saving exercise. You won't ever get someone working in TV admitting they got it wrong.

I never watched once she started to present it.

I like watching old episodes. Paul was so lovely, and of course was going to be a hard act to follow. But at least they could have chosen someone who loves dogs, FFS.

It really is staggering they picked someone who was afraid of dogs and actually showed her nerves around them on camera. Would love to know the thought process behind offering Alison the job, there's no making sense of it at all.
