This has bugged me too. I’ve been following ESG fitness for a while and she always talks about the point of diminishing returns in that the more steps/ exercise you do, doesn’t automatically mean you’re getting more health benefits. I get Alice’s sentiment but don’t think it’s explained very well.
Don’t feel crappy! Hopefully the advice below will make you feel better. It does me as there’s no way I get 10000 steps a day in.

It’s just such an ableist post too. I have arthritis and this would just be impossible for me and very painful to push myself that hard. There must have been others seeing that post who have worse conditions and will now be feeling really anxious about that. Also - she has no real job or commitments. I thought that too....I have an autoimmune disease called vasculitis which severely affects my mobility as it's caused neuropathy in my feetIt’s just such an ableist post too. Sending love It’s hard having one of these conditions that isn’t immediately visible. Some days I can push super hard and walk far, do a gym class, clean the house from top to bottom. But then exhausted and I’m in pain for 3 days. So is that the pay off? Does that make me a “healthy person” who won’t die early?I thought that too....I have an autoimmune disease called vasculitis which severely affects my mobility as it's caused neuropathy in my feetI've even had to get a blue badge I'm that bad
until I was diagnosed 4 years ago aged 53, I was going to gym x3 week ,HIT classes, swimming, working full time....that all changed practically overnight - I can barely walk 1/2 mile now without pain and if I do have to walk any distance, I have to take regular stops and then I'm absolutely knackered afterwards .
I'm on lifetime treatment as there's no cure for my condition and I'll probably have to take early retirement and plans I had for the future are severely limited
When I was Alice's age I was working fulltime in a dialysis unit, commuting 50 miles day, looking after my babyand breastfeedingas well as all the normal 'grown up' stuff like shopping, cleaning ....she needs to remember she leads a very pampered , sheltered life but that things can change in the blink of an eye
Soo basically smoke 20 a day as long as you so 16k steps a day. Thanks Alice.More crappy fitness posting from Alice. As someone with a long day job sat at a desk, 16,000 steps is just totally unattainable. Some days I’m lucky if I get more than 2,000. Thanks for making me feel crappy alice! View attachment 999925 q
Also, duck I’m going to die because i do less than 2k a day and I’ve just had covid and probably did about 50 for a week.More crappy fitness posting from Alice. Exactly. Those that walked 16k plus steps a day probably did because they were fit and able to with less health issues therefore less likely to die In general. Those who walked 6k or less may have had limiting illnesses or health issues where they were more at risk of dying anyway.Thing is influencers will post things to prove a point they are trying to make. Like doing this = live longer. But they don’t understand the difference between causality and relationship. Walking a tit load does not cause you to live longer, there is no data on this planet that could prove that as science because what about all the extraneous variables like getting hit by a bus or maybe you just happen to have a genetic problem. Now is there an association/relationship? Possibly. But unless you have super robust data that captures all the possible reasons why you might live longer and you can cluster people based on similarities to analyse it then you’re left with a super broad generalisation that might as well be made up to be honest - it’s also chicken and the egg do you live longer because you walk more or do you walk more because you have a genetic predisposition to live longer? Stick to “influencing” Alice.
After I posted I went to YouTube and watched a bit.No I didn’t - would be interested to hear her full DA story
I think she's shared it all before. It was a boyfriend she had as a teenager. I'm not sure what happened to him, was he convicted?Anybody watch her YSL domestic abuse thing?
I'm not sure I just always remember her segment that was going to happen on This Morning getting pulled due to a legal opposition.I think she's shared it all before. It was a boyfriend she had as a teenager. I'm not sure what happened to him, was he convicted?

This may be completely inappropriate but i find it a bit weird that she still talks about a bad relationship she had when she was 16 and classes it as domestic abuse? Is this just me? DV is hideous and I'm not saying what she went through wasn't awful just seems a bit odd.
