Oh weird, my central A/c is doing the same thing today. Three buckets so far and no technician available but I guess only people in abject poverty will understand the pain.

Who said they think Alice has a gambling habit? I think that might be the missing piece of the $$$ puzzle.
Where would she get the time for gambling with all her internetting?

Surely you can’t groom entire online communities while playing the spins at whatever?

Anyway thanks for reminding me to play Twisted Tangle cos I kinda am addicted to that for the 15 mins A day I can manage before all my lives go. Yay dopamine!

This is news in a heatwave? Her building doesn't have a maintenance man/woman? For $6500 a month I would expect at least some on-call maintenance service.
So if her air conditioning is busted, is the whole building out too? I would assume that a building like that would have central air, not individual units. Or is she just making up crap for content?
They would have individual air conditioning units for each apartment. Re her electricity bill, 400 for a month. We had a house on 2 floors, which was about 2000sq ft more than her apartment, and we never had an electric bill as high as $400 ,(close but under) that, even when we had consecutive 100f days for a whole month. Her apartment must be freezing!

I recall the listing for that unit showed ceiling vents only for central air. I'm a real estate nut and always hone in on the details. If she's telling the truth and the central AC broke with water coming through the vents, that's quite a job to fix. And it's hot as hell in LA right now. I'd personally insist that the landlord pay for an Airbnb until the AC is fixed. I'd worry about the kids and the dog. Heat exhaustion is no joke.

But if she is behind on her rent, the landlord doesn't have an obligation to house them surely? Where did she write her AC is out? I don't see a new post.
EDIT:Thanks, so they have HVAC units? That is what we had, and that came through vents. If the temperature was set too low by the kids, the pipe upstairs would freeze, and water would flood through to the kitchen! Happened at least twice!

I thought this was a safe place. And now I feel judged 😂

Yes I ate them, I would eat all the snacks which is why I never buy grown up snacks as i blatantly can’t be trusted. So once I’m three sharp ones in the kids snack box takes a battering.
No I’m a snacker all the way no judgement. More like I was impressed 😋
ETA and I laughed really hard when you made that post so it stood out…probably because I’m such a snacker

@welp posted this up thread.

The landlord still legally has to provide anything listed in the lease agreement which I'm sure includes AC and this would be regardless of rent due. Tenants have rights and California is known for protecting tenants.

If water is coming through vents that poses a potential electrical hazard.

yet we are the shit shit shit shit losers for being in here and accused of not having a life yet there’s someone who is firmly team Alice binge reading it 🤣 who’s the loser now.

It's like someone who wants to watch porn but only so she can warn other people about how bad it is. Sure, Jan.

A bit like Alice who's busy hate scrolling us. Hi Alice! 😘

It's like even the real estate is sick of her and trying to flush her out.

Big Billy Bloater, the unflushable floater.

Always relevant.

Well that’s all the documents she has been so diligently preparing for deposition rendered useless by utter utter water damage
Her alarm clock won’t be able to work either cos the leccy will Fritz 😔
