I’m torn on the stashed money theory, mostly because I tend to use the “reasonable person” standard, ie, would a reasonable person pay their utility bills if they had the money? But Alice doesn’t meet the criteria of a reasonable person, does she?

Then there’s the $10,000/mo. After her exorbitant rent, $3,500 doesn’t go far in LA, especially if you’re, in theory, on payment plans for past debt(s) and have awful credit.

And I hope Alice is current on her other bills. Electricity can be turned back on in minutes, but gas requires a tech to come to your house, and it usually takes two weeks to get an appointment. That‘s a lot of cold showers.
 
It feels weird and unsettling that Alice Evans hasn’t said anything about Vice President Kamala Harris being officially declared the Democratic party’s presidential candidate.

Please chime in. I don’t know why I’m feeling this. I would just love her to say something - I think it would help so much.

I feel conflicted about her having money, that surely she couldn't have wasted it all, she can’t be that reckless and that stupid, it feels impossible. But then I realise I look at her through my own lense, how I would have saved, put into retirement, the sort. And yes, she could have been that reckless and that incredibly stupid. An entertaining case for a forensic accountant.

she stashed money away but obviously it has a limit especially when the cash cow dried up. she may genuinely run out at some point.

I just think that point has not been reached. 3k is a relatively small bill: some friend would pay it, she could earn the money for it in three weeks with a normal job or with one day at a con, heck she could greatly advertise her GFM on her page! She has not done the things a desperate (or a normal) person would do. She is just doing what you would do if you subtly tried to shame your ex.
 
If she wasn't hiding money (which I absolutely believe she is) she would have produced the required bank statements etc...instead of holding up the financial process. Let's not forget she made a 100 thousand disappear and no trace of it found. She was withdrawing cash from ATMs whilst pleading poverty. She's an adept liar who has no qualms about stealing money. Moo.
 
Alice isn’t a reasonable person, she thinks only of how she can sabotage and punish Ioan for leaving her. Even the fm’s are alluding to this being his fault not hers. She never takes accountability or responsibility. I’d be embarrassed, but still they stand by her and applaud her. It’s everyone else’s fault except Alice. I hope she knows she’s to blame when those girls eventually go no contact with Mommy Dearest.

But it’s obvious that bill has been hanging around for awhile, with more added each month, and she even said she was already on a payment plan (lapsed now, of course). So if she has money, why not keep making those minimum payments, so the power stays on, then shame Ioan publicly about the huge balance? Win-win.

i swear, she does my head in.

Or…the bank statements show copious amounts of frivolous spending, while she’s simultaneously claiming poverty, having utilities shut off and asking for more than $10,000/mo. Just speculation, obviously.

And she hasn’t yet sold her Cartier ring, Bvlgari watch or cleared out & sold her storage unit, so this whole performance is to set up a DM story. She will earn more from an exclusive than she would travelling to a con, so it’s worth the drama & reconnection. And because it doesn’t affect her credit rating, she will have no qualms.

Isn't it mad that a man who hasn't lived with her for about 4 years and a man who has never lived where she is currently living, is on the hook and to blame for a huge outstanding bill for a basic utility that is in her name alone?
The mental gymnastics these people must do to get to that it's Ioan's fault.
She's a 56 year old woman!!
