Those cards just make me sad. They are just words that Alice has drumed into them constantly and they are repeating them thinking it will make her happy.
This exactly. It’s so bloody obvious isn’t it and nothing about it reads authentically. At all. I sometimes share my kids cards because of the artwork but I never share what they write because that’s for them and me. Sometimes it’s at least partly mocking me too. This is all so orchestrated and forced and vomit inducing.

Is it just me or does "Ella's" signature not match the letter formation in the actual letter?

True, but often people have a 'special signature' so I think it's that.

would Alice's kids - born and raised in the US - use mum/mummy instead of mom/mommy?

Yes, often kids will sound like their parents regardless of where they grew up. I knew a kid who sounded like a Cockney despite growing up in Ireland. Ella sounds a bit English when I have heard her speak and uses English lingo too by the looks of it.

When a simple ‘Happy Birthday’ would’ve sufficed …

‘I cannot convey my love for you enough. Keep being you, you spectacular human‘

Can our 🇺🇸 turds confirm if 14yr girls in california normally talk like the purple smoking jacket compliment guy or do we think there MIGHT be something a little off.

I’m calling in my mum of 105 kids to say no 14 year old has that handwriting or talks like that. Especially not one that uses social media showing an example of how they speak.

But you don't raise the Mimsy kids the way Alice does hers. I presume they go to school too if they're school age.

This letter is all of a piece with Ella acting in a very juvenile way in IG's apartment - throwing food around and pushing people and then lying that she was pushed. Being very loud and obnoxious, then running away. Mother of the Year

I know we are not meant to say anything about the girls that might be hurtful, but if these 'cards' are from now, they are permanently stuck at the age when Ioan left! No 14yr old would write that and at nearly 11, Elsie should be coloring within the shape. Handwriting might have suffered from the covid years but she should have caught up by now. Maybe California is different from TX, but handwriting is subject that is taught and marked up to at least 6th grade. Of course, having a parent who cares and helps, are important factors!

In your extensive experience has a teenager ever called you Mummy without it involving something being broken, needing a lift or wanting money? I get called bro far more than I get called Mummy.
