Well it's a beautiful winters day in Auckland, normally it rains everyday in July. So we have taken the top down on my car and heading out to an area of Auckland I have always wanted to go to but never have. I plan on doing a lot of things that I have not got around to doing.

I may have cancer but at least I'm not Alice Evans.

It’s been such a lovely dry & sunny winter aye? 😎Unfortunately I have the Waikato fog to contend with.

And it also has my favorite Japanese version of the 99 Cent Store, Daiso Market (there's one in Koreatown as well). I'm a diehard Daiso gal. All of our 99's went out of business recently so Daiso is a fab replacement.

We don't have a strict $20 minimum wage. That's only for fast food workers who work at large chains.

West Hollywood has a $19.08 minimum wage now, the highest in the county. That's the exception.

The state minimum wage is $16 per hour.

Nannies make more like $25 per hour. She's right about them being expensive.

I'm proud of you @brie l ❤ Give yourself time to fall apart if you need too, but try and stay as positive as possible. It really does make a difference. Your posts are always calm and balanced and I get the impression you're the calm in any storms in your life, so please give yourself permission to focus on you and let the people in your life love, take care of and support you.

Enjoy the lovely sunshine. We've had a run of lovely sunny but very cold days here. We even had tiny little snowflakes early this morning. ❄ They were so pretty, but cat and I decided bed was a much warmer place to be!

Oh geez @Loveu2 you've had a bit of a hellish year with the bushfire, hubby being so ill and now an emergency stent. I hope you recover soon and tell the nurses you need to up the pain so it doesn't hurt when you laugh at our combined comedic genius! ❤

Love and good wishes going out to every turd who's working through crappy stuff in their lives right now, whatever it is. It's almost a shame Alice is such a bleep. She really couldn't find a better group of people to teach her how to deal with devastating circumstances, keep fighting, pick herself up and move on with grace, courage, humour and compassion.

PS: a special shoutout to @Hiraeth, who is an (imaginary) high powered lawyer juggling a demanding job, caring for her ill hubby and being such a superstar on our threads. ❤

This belief she has that any of us want to come to her door or be in a 1 mile vicinity of her is bloody delusional. If I lived on the same street as her or went anywhere in public she might be (living in Australia, there's more likelihood of me wondering around the streets in LA than of Alice actually going outside) I'd be planning my whole day around avoiding her. When @Old Soak, @Lulugrace and the rest of us turds turn up at @Mad Betty's place for a surprise vacation, stalking Alice will not be on the agenda. (Unless she's in court.)

this logic has always been amazing: no, it doesnt mean anything if a woman that was left homeless by her ex supports a woman that (falsely) claims that the same happened to her, plus the one that actually was in need of her help (while Ioan rightly saw her as a waste of money) and spend a lot of more time with her than the other parent is friends with her rather the other one. I think the fact thst Gloria refused Ioan's orders early in the separation despite them having nothing to do with Alice shows how unprofessional/not neutral she was.

also no, Gloria was not there all the time, so its pretty irrelevant. Even if she was (she wasnt) we also see how certain people are happy to excuse/ignore abuse from women when it's literally proven (the kids are a great example: Alice threatening/verbally abusing them was fine, Ioan asking them to say "thank you" abusive)...Where is she going to say this anyway? (and as a nanny which would be career suicide lmao - she is so bad at lying)
