I had to read all your comments on this. I started to watch it last week had a stressful weekend so finished it today. I wanted to know if my uncontrollable sobbing was abnormal but seems it wasn’t . Loved it also wasn’t too keen on the therapist scenes but was really funny with Annette Crosbie the 100 year old.
I’m all cried out.

I meant to say in my previous post I agree about the therapist character. Really not likeable or funny and quite uncomfortable to watch but maybe that’s the aim?

Don't really get Ricky Gervais but loved season one of Afterlife. Didn't enjoy season two tbh, the therapist and postman were annoying in equal measures. The dog was incredible, just love her

Loved both series, finished the second one the other day. Laughed and cried all the way through, Ricky Gervais has grief spot on.
Loved the scene where the postman was in the bath . Absolutely loved the Dad❤

We binged watched this last weekend in 2 nights. Series 1 was superb, series 2 was not as good. I felt more emotional watching series 2 There were many laugh out loud moments, I agree about the Psychiatrist, the scenes in the pub with his mates was just cringe.
When Sandy started at the paper I thought Ricky Gervais was going to be really mean to her but their friendship was heartwarming
