omg likewise - completely forgot about vending machines! I used to get fruit polos religiously!!

+ on the above hot food, I don’t think I ever ate anything hot at school apart from tomato soup in a styrofoam cup (RIP our planet) - possibly because it was always something with meat in? I lived off of cheese salad sandwiches. Our school trialed hummus with veggies but never had enough portions so it was like gold dust!

Eta I specifically mentioned the apple fruit shoot as I thought it was a discontinued 00s drink but googled it and you can still get them 😆
