How much must a cake like that set them back? If they pay for it at all.
$250-300 maybe? I was just wondering the same thing

I need to stop watching these vids, I know it’s my problem but watching that vlog makes me feel SH!T that I’ll never be able to do that for my son and he deserves it so much, life’s crap sometimes. O had a blast though and seems like such a darling
I grew up in the 80’s and we had fairy bread icey poles and balloons and I had the best time of my life and the best memories! We had a trampoline (that my dad built out of metal piping as stores didn’t have that stuff and if they did it was far too expensive!) which was an extravagance back then!
Now with my own kids I’m giving them the same type of birthdays chocolate crackles a weird looking cake I made myself and the best thing of all just being present for you kids.

your son will have fond memories because your with him and that’s all he needs 🤗

I feel like they're trying to force a 'special bond' between them. When Mark visited earlier in the month, Zoe was trying to hype her up when he arrived but she didn't seem that bothered. At the party, she only hugged him because he held his arms out. And then she walked away as he was talking to her. Zoe and Mark used to talk about him being 'Uncle Mark' to her kids, but the truth is he's just a random guy who turns up every few months and tries to buy her affection with presents. She seems way more interested in her actual uncles, Joe and Sean, whom she sees regularly.
I think if Mark went round as much as he used to they would have a bond but now he only visits once every few months and even then it's just for a few hours.

It's classic parents trying to force their emotions and feelings onto their kids. Zoe was emotional and touched that Mark moved his flight for Ottie's birthday, so she wanted Ottie to also feel that way, when in reality when she saw him she will have been far too fixated on everything else going on at her party that she didn't care less and walked away from him, while Zoe stood there trying to remind her that he changed his flight to come. Just let kids be kids!

It also feels like Zoe doesn’t seem to understand how kids work, they’re not going to have a “special bond” with someone they don’t see near on every other day at that age. It’s out of sight out of mind, especially when she’s around so many other people constantly! I’m sure Zoe thought she’d give birth to 10 year olds right off the bat 🤣

Yeah but you don't put your child's life at risk to be able to afford it. And a 3 year old isn't going to remember it when they are older. We do a soft play party pay about £400 for face paint, soft play and they do the food and cake

Maybe I’m misremembering but I thought when Mark visited earlier in the month he said he was always coming back for her party? Then they make a big song and dance about changing flights last minute?

Also I find it a bit odd that Ottie doesn’t call anyone aunty or uncle? She says JoeJoe, Poppy and SeanSean. And Zoe and Alfie never seem to say Aunty Poppy or Uncle Joe
