Her hair looks like a wig now and she overall looks strange.

Forget pregnancy, did it not occur to her that her child would catch tons of bugs throughout childhood and she'll have to care for her, not pass on her phobia, clean up, and possibly catch them herself? I have emetophobia but as a parent, I had/have to get on with it. I also have other health issues that leave me nauseous for a significant amount of time, it's horrendous but I can't imagine just hiding in bed and not engaging as a parent. Adding another to that situation would be a really stupid mistake when Ottie is so young. What will she do with two young children that pass bugs to each other and they both need caring for at the same time? I suppose Alfie or a nanny and cleaners would take care of everything...

I would assume that she considered that. Although they don’t go anywhere with Ottie so only seems to have had a cold so far! She is going to face it eventually because she can’t keep Ottie at home forever. She is privileged enough to be able to avoid these situations at the moment whereas most people can’t, but that won’t last forever. I think she has fooled herself into thinking that she can manage her anxiety overall, but I don’t think she can. She has been avoiding life since she had Ottie.
I think it’s a very common phobia that isn’t really spoken about.

You're absolutely right. Life coaches are not a substitute for a psychologist, psychiatrist or therapist.

I'm not a qualified mental health professional at all but she seems to have some anxiety symptoms that cross over to agoraphobia like needing someone with her when leaving the house, not leaving the house at all or when they do, it's going to the same 'safe' places etc - I even have 'safe' public toilet cubicles so that's an example debilitating it can be.

It's complex in that sometimes you can do things like go to a shopping centre on your own but in two days time you can't even open your front door to a courier and for that you need a lot, lot more than a life coach. A lot more!

She has said in the past that she was doing CBT which can be beneficial for anxiety. It would also be unethical for a therapist to say ‘I watched your vlog and that’s not true’ despite what some of you think should happen or expect people to do. You also don’t have to have serious mental health issues to have a therapist.
But I think Zoe would probably benefit from medication for her anxiety. She seemed to have panic attacks out of nowhere which suggests that there’s no particular trigger. She’s the only one who can make that decision and she may never see it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Couldn’t agree more, I have emetophobia, my 4 year had his first tummy bug a few months back, I had to catch one spew in a towel, definitely after I cleaned him up I had a panic attack in the bathroom cleaning myself but not for him to see. I cared for him and really tried hard not to let him see me struggling. You have to just do it, no matter how hard it is.

The difference is Zoe doesn't have to do it because everyone around enables her cushioned pampered ways so if Ottie is sick etc Alfie or his parents etc will clean it up while Zoe lays in bed.

Do you have the link to her mentioning CBT? All I could find was a blog post from 2011 of her being unhappy with the speed of it on the NHS (which is still a fair point sadly).

Regardless if she really has been going to an actual therapist and paying for it for years but is no further forward I’d really be looking into a different therapist. She may as well just have a rant to her friends and save her money.

2. I think it’s very strange how she’s been so inactive recently but I’m not sure it’s pregnancy tbh because they’re going on holiday but I could be wrong.
3. What do you guys think they are doing during the summer? They’ve mentioned they have something planned. I think it might be something vlogmas style but during summer idk how they would work that tho?

It was an old vlog, but I can’t remember which one it was exactly. It was at least 4 or 5 years old though!
I agree. A good therapist will notice if a client hasn’t improved, but I think it’s less obvious with Zoe’s lifestyle. She doesn’t have to work 9-5 and meet targets. I didn’t watch all of that video with her therapist, but I remember her saying that she has expanded her world and doesn’t hold herself back. But that was just after the Covid restrictions had been lifted so there hadn’t been any expectation on her to leave the house so of course she felt okay and less anxious! If her childhood was as idyllic as it’s painted than it’s probably a chemical imbalance. I just don’t think Zoe has the self awareness or maybe her anxiety has changed since having Ottie but she is in denial. It’s not black and white.

I think I found it through google cause she got some business details saved to her own home address idk how and idk why she did that.
I think the rest found it out due to houses listing back in the day. its also easy to find cause they requested their home on that street to be blurred out 😂

There was also a vlog where Alfie was in the car and the sat nav had the road name on it 🤣.

honestly its not worth it for me, but interesting regardless.
