Zanna Van Djik Part #4 weekly flights in a pandemic, to produce content oh so generic.

This is a joke. When have we ever seen Zanna make anything from scratch? Sauces, sauerkraut, curries, falafel, veggie burgers, cookies etc... Everything she gets is pre packaged and shop bought.
I never picked up on that but now you've said something clicked in my head! Even her smoothies are a concoction of things which came from plastic pouches (which I don't think any local council in UK accepts those for recycling). Sustainability Queen she's not 😡

Moving house is exciting and bittersweet but she’s only going down the road to Surrey where she already spends several days a month, and she’ll be back in London frequently for ‘work’. She’s really overplaying how much Surrey is the countryside, it’s hardly the Outer Hebrides

Hahaha, so true, Oxshott way is hardly very remote or super rural
it is prime Commuterville for wealthy people like Zanna who want transport links to London but still be close to countryside.

The way she is being so dramatic about packing, when it is literally only possessions and doesn’t include furniture or perhaps even kitchen appliances, shows just how much she overplays things. We all know this already, but the way she talks about her workload for example. Soooo performative. Like yeah, I’m sure a lot of us have moved a few times before before (as a student I certainly did), and of course it’s a ball ache. But she’s actin like she’s properly moving house, when really she’s just packing clothes and possessions and and buying everything house related afresh, including pans apparently.

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest, but I read her two blog posts on hiking and they couldn't be any more basic. I've had much better advice and a heck of a lot more detail (especially into the 'why' for pieces of kit and general tips) on facebook groups. Considering she doesn't even hike in this country (even when flights are grounded) and her 'hikes' abroad are just photo shoots, I hardly think she has any knowledge or experience to share. Just hope no one takes her word as gospel without reading into things further and gets into any difficulty on a hill!

I used to orgainse hillwalking trips in Scotland, and I don't think her advice is tooo bad (for clothing at least, she's advocating for waterproof clothes for instance). But she always tags on the end of her blog posts "and a map and compass even though you might not need them!" They're some of the most important pieces of equiptment, and the majority of beginner hikers don't know how to take a bearing which can help save your life if you're in poor conditions, and I bet Zanna doesn't know how to use them. If she's going to give out advise she needs to be an expert or a properly educated enthusiast. As much as she likes to think she is, she really isn't.

Surely that's content for her personal IG or the official one, not for the new house one? She really is confused with her content atm
