Who wants to go to the office? #2 No-one

1
I work a hybrid style, one week in the office, following week at home. I never get the Sunday night blues when I'm WFH the next day, I love being at home. I'm in a call centre environment so every second of my working day is monitored and scored, even loo breaks. Our WFH aftercall is being closely watched and several colleagues have to be permanently in the office as they are spending too long in aftercall. The office lights are awful and it's freezing cold, jumpers in summer freezing cold. I'd love to wfh permanently but they won't allow it.
Same with our office lights, the air in there is so dry. I always come out feeling tired and lethargic because it's too warm. Can't open a window. Even my eyes/nose skin is dry!!

Don't really know where to post this, maybe here? Anyone got any experience on your job changing your hours?
I said I'll do it but I can't for a few months due to stuff I have pre-booked. They want it sooner.
I worked out I'd need about 20 days extra of holiday to do what I have already booked, which obviously I don't think they'd give me 😅. All this stuff is currently booked either on my current days off or on holiday days I've booked. I'm just worried that they'll say I have to do it or they'll just get rid of me meaning I'd lose out on money of the stuff I have booked or I could take it unpaid which I wouldn't be able to then afford all of what I have booked anyway. Some of the days are also when I'm house sitting for family on holiday so they re relying on me and specifically booked days where I was already off. If I do it after the date I said I can then I should have enough holidays to cover what I need off.
So just wondering if anyone has been in this position?

It finally happened, the dreaded RTO mandate came through. Not very festive as they've sent it right before the Christmas break!!

We have to be in 2 days a week (Not that unreasonable tbh) but they've been annoying and said those days can't be Monday or Friday, we are a huge team so on top of how busy I am at work I now have to worry about trying to book a desk in advance.

Needless to say, I am polishing up my CV as I want a higher-paying job if I have to go in 2-3 days, and I'm sure my job will gravitate to 3 days next.

Wow! That’s ridiculous timing! No doubt thinking well we’ve given everyone some extra days over the hols to sort themselves out to hit that office hard in jan. Can imagine a slippery slope to 3 days based on my work and even then lots of people come in more often so there’s a lot of “who is in tomorrow” so a sort of peer pressure to be in. From what I see most people want to be home as much as possible hence it needs to be mandatory return, I think two days with some flex is probably ok overall. But agree if you are busy with things why not wfh that week and just be sensible about it. There’s a portion of people in my work ruining it for us all though, who just do not want to be at home, period! They’ll go to the office, work events out of hours, work travel, literally anything to avoid it/their families and trying to drag the rest of us with them 😝

I have to go in 2 days per week & it’s sheer hell! The trains are a nightmare, late cancelled & those 2 days cost me £1000 per year in travel. It’s totally unnecessary and counterproductive. I make sure I leave on the button of 5 whereas at home I do lots more hours. It’s a control thing on the part of management
