Did anyone else watch the new version of The Larkins (Darling Buds of May)? Not sure what to make of it as I can’t understand why they would remake it except to be more woke character wise. The Independent slated it.

I watched half of it but I couldn't get into it. Something felt off and it didn't have the charm of the original. Also Bradley Walsh was just being himself and it didn't work.

I really don't understand why they needed to remake it, like you said, it was lacking the charm of the original.
