I'm on ep 3 and really enjoying it so will report back when I have finished the show! Love/Hate is on my to watch list. Glad you're doing ok and I'm alright thanks! Missed you on this thread. x

I have almost given up trying to get into newer shows. I struggle more and more to find anything relatable or alluring about them. I'm 40 and just feel too old for a lot of it, especially the ones with loads of sex. Am no prude but it gets dull. I am very put off by how graphically violent so much TV is too. Stopped watching any of the soaps 15 or so years back because I was not liking it then and now I hear how many storylines there are with rape, acid attacks, death in general.... glad I no longer look.

Generally I like stuff that is escapist. If I want to see reality I'd watch the news. I also don't like getting heavy handed preaching coming at me so I am watching more older things these days. There was preaching then too but the difference was creating a good story and characters came first. Seems like the other way around now.

You need to watch love/hate if you haven't already. All the episodes are in itvX now.
It was the number 1 show in Ireland when first streamed, amazing writing, actors, plot. So gritty! The first season starts off abit mediocre but then omg! It's probably my favourite of all time.
