It's not that I didn't enjoy it in its own way. And at least it was a very fresh approach. The b & w is stunning. Andrew Scott really comes into his own after *that* boating incident.
There are just fundamental problems for me. Dickie and Marge are so bleeping dull and uncharismatic - who would envy them? 😂 As I said the Freddie actor is dreadful.
And I won't disclose the final scene but it is such a massive plot hole.
Oh my word, the boat scene!!! 😲

The Gone (iPlayer) Ep4
I love an Antipodean drama series. This isn't the best I've seen but I'm still enjoying it. Thanks to whoever mentioned it.👍

Ripley excellent apart from Stings daughter looking and sounding exactly like a woman while trying to play a man. duck off. We don't all buy non-binary ideological suspension of disbelief. It was jarring, silly and incongruous in an otherwise excellent cast.

Just finished The Gone. The ending was a bit annoying but I quite enjoyed it overall....not amazing but an easy enough watch. Hopefully S2 will tie up loose ends, when that airs, because I have questions!

I assume Aileen (journo) is dead but whose figure was it that we saw arriving at the hut?

Was it Buster? Did Buster kill cop Diana's mother? Why was he burning Irish Ronan's ID card? Was he covering the killer's tracks? Is feisty old Wiki actually the original Goat Man?

Were Sergeant Bruce and the Hospital Dr squeaky clean? (I had my doubts but probably suspected every character at some point!)

What was going on with the local guy who owned/ran the company which was polluting the water? Why did he go to the cemetery?

Anyone got any theories or answers? 😆
