Couldn’t agree more. There is no subtlety or nuance at all - especially with the shoehorning and innuendo from the Admiral to make sure we are left in no doubt, in any way whatsoever that he’s (shock, horror) gay, rather than the beautiful, poignant love story of the original. Not for me thanks, the 70s called, they want their sitcom backQuoting myself to say I have now watched 2 episodes and gave up. It's just not good. There's no substance, emotion or any depth to most of the characters. There's also too much jabbering between the many, many ghosts so I miss what they say.
The washing machine scene was just cringe
The absolute worst thing about it was the Admiral character. Our brilliant, fabulous UK captain must be embarrassed by his US equivalent.

. I think I read somewhere that some of the writers of our Ghosts were involved with this season, so I was hoping it would be better than the last one. Unfortunately not! It may get better but I'm not willing to watch any more to find out.
It was so good. I cried at the end so much my husband asked me if I was okay
