I persevered to the end as I kept hoping it would get better even though I could tell it wouldn't and then whinged to my husband after that it didn't . The casting was very strange and the plot was bitty. I got the impression it was a book adaptation and it's made me want to avoid the book!

Ioan Griffud or however you spell it is normally quite good, but he was dreadful in this.

I just couldn't get past Dervla Kirwin being his mum when she is only about 2 years older than him in real life. They didn't age her up well enough to make it believable.
