I’d not heard of him until he was mentioned on the Fayejay thread. He keeps coming up on my YouTube, but I’m not clicking as I think I’d be the same 🙈
 
Finished Manifest, good riddance.

I loved the concept of the series, I enjoy a well-done mystery/time travel/whatever thing. But omg, the script really started to decline with every season, made zero sense at times and I definitely see why that show was already canceled before Netflix brought it back.
Season 4 was terrible, long-winded, and whinging with some really bad acting thrown in. And don't get me started on those three chords that kept playing whenever something "romantic" was happening, you'd think they could have found another piece of music throughout the season. The CGI also was very bad - this is 2022/2023 and not Quidditch in Harry Potter from 2001, yet it wasn't that far off.
The acting also got progressively worse with each season, especially Cal (horrible wooden actor) and also Ben.

The ending was meh. Yes, they tried to wrap it all up, neatly with a bow and everything, but it doesn't work. So many dropped story arcs, so much crammed into two episodes when the entire season was about five to ten episodes too long. Laughed at the ridiculous hooded figure blasting through the plane, and the bad acting when they tried to fight it off. Looked like cheap Demetor inspo going on there.
If I never hear the word lifeboat again, it'll be too soon.


All in all: 5/10, wouldn't recommend the series anymore. I did recommend it after watching seasons one and two, but really, it got so bad that I wouldn't want to sit through that again.

Was intrigued by the first season, the second one was a bit worse, three was bad and four is just awful. The writing is bad, the acting worse and I can't even figure out what that fricking lifeboat is they keep harping on about since two seasons :ROFLMAO:
I don't give up easily on shows and tend to watch until the bitter end, only quitting in the most dire circumstances. I like ranting and making fun of the shows, hence I'm still watching it.

I am struggling with this. I need to know what happens but can’t muster up the motivation to watch them. Watched episode 11 and just can’t get enough interest going to watch the rest. Wish I could watch on recorded tv instead of Netflix so I can watch on fast forward 1 with subtitles 😂😂. I will watch eventually but it’s going to be tough to get through them. I’ve lost interest in what started out as a good show.

Heheh, you can watch on 1.25 or 1.5 speed on Netlifx as well, no need to prolong the inevitable!
