I can tell you, there are a few bands from that era who were seriously overrated.

Unfortunately, I count the Kooks among them along with

Razorlight
The Thrills
The Dandy Warhols

and countless more I'm sure

Yeah definitely. They were signing any old shite up at that point. I never thought of The Kooks as that highly rated, I only remember that song and Naïve. Thought they'd vanished with all the others when the Indie wave ran its course.
