I doubt they'll bother. The dominion has had shows before that were technically too small for it.
I'm not thinking Prada will last long tbh..

In other words, does anyone know who the new Persephone is in Hadestown? I think it might be Rachel Tucker based on what has been said on theatre board.
I saw something on her IG stories which made me think Hadestown but I have no idea anything about it except the mythology concept which put me right off

Oh my god I will die if this is true! Do you have any idea when the new Persephone starts? I was already planning Hadestown for my brief London trip in December... if it's Tucker I'll be doubly there with bells on.

I stand by what I’ve said before on this. You can’t get held under section purely based off someone’s opinion or recommendation. It’s a team thing.

I’d like to know what led to it.
I’m a nurse working with addicts, and sadly we see a lot of MH within that field. It sounds like he’s having a bi polar episode, as often when they’re really struggling, it’s obvious to those around them, but they can’t see it and feel like everyone is out to get/trick them. It sounds like it was recognised that he was struggling and like you said, you can’t just call up a psych ward and say “my friend needs committing” and they just do it. It needs a psychiatrist and psychiatric nurse, plus many other factors.
I really hope he gets the help and support he needs to recover from this

I remember seeing his tweets a few weeks (?) ago when this was kicking off and I’m not surprised he got sectioned, he was making not so thinly veiled references to ending his own life and where to find his body. Then kicked off that the police were called and he was taken away and said that people who did that weren’t his real friends.

Really concerning stuff, I think he desperately needs mental health support and I feel so bad for him that it looks like he’s self destructing his own career right now.

Putting screencaps under a spoiler as they may be upsetting

I'm not as qualified as you to talk about this but feel you could be right. I seem to recall him in the back of that police van kicking off about this is what his friends do to him. The poor folks are just trying to do all they can to help him

PS squinting at that list of damages and can't read properly but my goodness that place must have been trashed. I can only imagine if his housemate was there at the time it must have been terrifying.. @leabytottle you have my unreserved admiration.

I have a ticket to see Jonathan Bailey in Richard II early next year - it's been nearly 10 years since I read it at uni, so hoping it's as good as I remember. I remember Richard was quite eccentric so I think he can pull it off!
It’s a tricky one to do, I saw the David Tennant production at the Barbican and it was nothing short of cringeworthy. Eccentric yes but with the worst long blonde wig I have seen and he made Richard a fop, very effeminate, even a silly voice.

did see Jacobi do it a hundred years ago. That was in a whole other league. I’ll be interested to hear what JB’s performance is like.

There’s a lot of people way more deserving but Thankyou 🥰 It’s so difficult when you see a stranger having a manic episode, harder still when it’s a patient and unimaginable if it’s a family or close friend. People don’t understand that it’s not their fault and it’s an illness. A lot of people loose family and friends support as it’s very hard to see it and sadly some just don’t cope. I have multiple patients that are addicts and are pretty much on their own, it’s heartbreaking. There are also lots with a lot of support and it sounds like this person has people looking out for him, I just hope they stick around, or that his family step in.

Absolutely, often in some areas it's really difficult to get the team of people to agree or even be available to to assess someone and section them for their or someone else's safety.

No way have the production company just called the Police and he's been taken to a unit and kept there. He's just telling us the bits that he thinks put him in the right. More than likely he's either threatened his or someone else's life.

He is kind of threatening people's lives on Instagram anyway with the 'coming for your heads' comments.

He thinks he is making an argument but all he is doing is proving everyone was right in what they did.

Definitely, and that's just IG. What he could have said to people's faces could be far worse.

My wife used to work for our local Community MH Team. It is very sad with the addicts, as the people around them are often other addicts. The patients are vulnerable and get talked into selling their drug replacement prescriptions like methadone so they can go and buy drugs on the street. It's a vicious circle sometimes.

Just back from London and we went to see Phantom of the opera , just loved the dark, dramatic elegance and His Majesty's theatre was stunning..

Toying over going to see Come from away as it's at the Lowry theatre later this year

SEE IT! I saw it multiple times in the West End, and I'm going up to see it on tour at the Lowry, too. It's wonderful - funny, heartwarming, uplifting, poignant...

Spot on. I also think it’s incredibly misleading to assert that the production company sedated him, as if the company manager is there with a syringe. They got him professional help, who assessed him and determined that for his own and/or others’s safety, that was the best course of action.

I also don’t see why his cast mate being relocated out of the trashed digs is a problem, unless he is saying that the cast mate is the one who caused or was involved in causing the damage. But I do see that if he has had a psychotic episode then his experience of ‘the truth’ will not be the same as other people’s.
