Women who refer to their children as ‘crotch fruit’ or ‘crotch goblins’ are just pick me ‘I’m not like other mums, I’m a cool mum’ and should shut up. It’s a godawful term to refer to your children by.
Yes I hate that term, very dehumanising. You chose to bring them into the world you don’t then get to slag them off like that as if it’s their fault. At what point do they stop being ‘crotch goblins’ and are seen as actual people?
Oh gawd. It's the way of things that kids will think their parents are totally uncool, no matter how cool and edgy the parents fancy themselves to be. Just accept the fate and stop doing things that will make it even worse!
I’m not even allowed to sing in the car anymore as my kids find it embarrassing. I still do it sometimes though🤣

Not sure if this will be classed as ‘unpopular’ but I think anyone who is expecting a child should be made to take a course in child development. Some people are clueless as to what normal toddler/child behaviour is and how to deal with it and it’s harmful to the child in the long run. It would be beneficial for everyone if all potential parents had at least a basic understanding.

It is just insane isn;t it? Just like we can cope with the bare minimum that is tolerable. Have you ever seen videos of men using a "machine" type thing meant to mimic pregnancy contractions? obviously nothing serious but interesting nonetheless
I used to do that when I was on it but after a few months I would get it anyway, totally unneeded hassle!

And supposedly women are the weaker sex 🤣 they might be physically stronger but some men are pussies when it comes to pain!

Which is exactly what you would expect, given that the purpose of asylum is to flee persecution at home in the first safe haven you arrive in. But anyhow here is a list of refugees per country of origin. Let’s take a deep dive.

Ok the top nationalities as you would expect. Afghanistan. Pretty obvious. I could think of nothing worse than living in an extreme theocratic state. Syria. Again obvious. The CAR and DRC. War torn hellholes since gaining independence from France and Belgium respectively (yet their woes are often bizarrely blamed on the British empire). The socialist paradises of Vietnam and Venezuela. Sudan and South Sudan. A legacy of years of squabbling between Egypt, the Ottoman Empire and the British. Although the violent repression of South Sudan was all post independence.

All as you would expect but some of the other countries on that list do make you think WTF and can lend the impression that the refugee system is being ever so slightly abused. For instance over 1000 refugees from the Czech Republic and 4000 from Hungary. Aren’t both countries part of the EU and supposed to guarantee human rights? And if they don’t guarantee those rights for thousands of citizens how the hell did they legitimately qualify for the bloc? In fact there are a handful of asylum seekers “fleeing persecution” from The EU countries and the UK every year. Can you think of any reason why? 35 from New Zealand. Pretty boring i’m sure but I don’t associate them with repressive policies. 5 from San Marino. Has there been a civil war raging on a mountain top in Italy for all these years? Almost ten times as many fleeing Romania than Paraguay? I guess Ceausescau beats Stroessner in the dictator legacy top trumps.

In short I don’t think we should believe absolutely everyone when they request asylum. Do you?
I mean I'm not surprised Eastern Europeans try to reach this side of Europe, they have high unemployment rates and salaries are sh*t. For the EU it's a win, cheap labour.

It’s on a U.K. Facebook group with a makeup group and a chat group.

Maybe it's the same women. She came on a parenting forum. Shouted about crotch goblins and hating all Tory voters, said something really fowl about women's vaginas being destroyed after vaginal child birth - people called her up on it then she ran off claiming bullying and saying she gets bullied off every forum she goes on because no one can take a joke.

And on that note - women's vaginas are not destroyed after vaginal child birth. It's a muscle and it contracts back. The idea that women who have had children are no longer viable sexually is just misoganistic bullshit made up by men to put women down and validate affairs and their perverted desire for young virgins.

Bloody hell - that’s one hot take on women and childbirth! I don’t think it was the lady I’m thinking about. She was very much sex workers are workers and wasn’t derogatory to women in that way. Just was very weird when it came to children. She only had one child and then went and got sterilised on the nhs and made a song and dance about that.

I used to be part of a big U.K. based Facebook group that talked about make up. They had a chat group as well and in the chat group there was this one lady who was obviously troubled and talked about trauma growing up, anyway she had a son and thought it was hilarious that she called him her ‘crotch fruit’ and ‘crotch goblin’ and if you didn’t agree you were bad. Looking back she was a bit off: freakishly long hair and a childlike approach to the world, if she didn’t kiss her husband goodbye she was convinced that harm would come to him. She even said that she prioritised her husband over her child and that’s how it should be and that she hopes her child’s future partner loves him more than she does. Seemed a bit odd that she put these levels to love - can’t you prioritise both your husband and child? Can’t you love your child the same amount as their partner does?
Was this ukma?

Ok this might be a controversial one and i will probably get flammed but its what this thread is for.

people posting about unfortunate circumstances in their life e.g miscarriage or Cancer.

now- these are of course very sad and everyone should be able to talk about it openly and share with who they want, what I don’t agree with is making it a photo opportunity, to me it takes it away from the seriousness of the issue.

there is an influencer who recently posted about jer cancer diagnosis and i am genuinely sad for her but found her crying video that goes with it a bit weird, and really not needed, Its almost like the video was made because she knew she’d get the shares and clicks
My old manager was her cancer survival. So her twitter bio was cancer survival, mum of two, wife and occupation. Good for her she survived cancer but idk why she made it her personality
