I hate the pressure of having to reply to whatsapp messages if it's not urgent and I don't feel like it.

I don't feel guilty for super late replies either.
I usually don’t open messages if I know I don’t want to reply, I just swipe the message so I can read it without registering

@OnlyHereForTheLolz do you drink alcohol? Can you get drunk before phone to make it bearable? Or just “fill up” on celebrations etc and “have no room for dinner” 😂

I have it sucks... not that it's ever that manic.. but being alone all the time isn't ideal
Yeah but it's a day, that's what I'm on about. I don't get why people focus on it so much when you've probably seen them a few days before. But it's an ingrained societal thing unfortunately that places emphasis on a certain specific day for someone who probably didn't even exist

I never have , so far, but I think when I no longer have my parents I will spend it alone. I like the idea tbh as I don’t love Xmas but I assume the thing is it being a choice vs not… I hope you are okay ❤️ Wishing you all the best
Thanks so much for the care and concern.. I'll be grand. That was last year... this year I'm lucky to be with my partner .. Wishing you a good holiday/Christmas also.

I always find Christmas a very lonely time ( even with family there ) it's got a certain eeriness about it .I think it would be a long day if you're spending it alone .

I now spend the day with my daughter but for the last a good many years I spent it on my own. I have never once felt lonely on my own but have felt very lonely with people around me in the past.

People who practice loud parenting in busy /social places. I have kids, I am aware enough that not everything needs to be a teachable moment, you sound like a prat, do it behind closed doors.

Parents that allow their barely walking toddlers to “walk” on the school run so subsequently you are stuck behind a yummy mummy with one on a balance bike (not balancing) one toddling alonglike a drunken snail all the while there is a queue of us behind trying to get our kids in the gates so we can get to work. Put one of them in a stroller, use the balance bike in the park and get out the bloody way.
