Saying your university "highly selective" should be redundant, they should know that by the name alone! Mentioning it just makes it obvious you're being slightly facetious about something.

Was this a science subject? Grades in the 80s aren't uncommon, even at brick and mortar universities if so.

Anyway OU works on a slightly different marking system to the rest of the UK, I believe their first class equivalent (distinction) generally requires marks of 85+, and 70+ for a 2:1.
psycology but I saw his work (it was about fragile masculinity which is something I studied in my MA so know about) and it wasn't great... I get you can get 80s in a maths test or something that has 1 answer, but in an essay about something like that for me it doesn't make sense.... god Jade's latest insta post with all those non related random thoughts, wtf?!

(Hi everyone, long-time lurker here.)
I wonder why Jade still has not addressed what her major at Minerva will be (unless I missed it?). It seems pretty obvious that she will be doing the business-degree thing, but it also seems like a thing that she would want to announce or at least declare to her audience especially since she has previously said that she wasn't sure which one she'll be choosing.

I think the only thing that really makes sense to study there is business, all of the other courses sound very vague and inevitably they will all end up in businesses in silicon valley etc

Now I know why Jade's CV was so focused on numbers rather than the skills she gained!:ROFLMAO:
Dinara just posted an advice video on how to apply for Minerva and she literally says "quantify everything" so that Minerva can "understand how impactful the accomplishment is". Must be another rule that the Minerva cult likes to push

I understand what she is saying - numbers can help make something vague seem impressive , but Jade took it to literal extremes.
The 0.17% of people in the UK doing duke of ed was the one that really got me hahah - going so overboard with numbers is very off-putting, it looks braggy and focused on exclusivity rather than skills and experience.

thanks to my youtube recommendations i've come across this girl who got admitted into minerva this school year
she studied at a UWC centre (like Elena Handtrack but in Costa Rica instead of Hong Kong) and she passed the IB test, which proves that not only she's extremely privileged but also wasted off her high quality education to study at our beloved scam-uni minerva

I wonder what her "amazing surprise" for her housemates bday is? I bet it won't involve social distancing whatever it is

I also find it quite patronising, it's like implying the interviewer has no idea about what you've written. I wonder if this is what Minerva instructs them to do? I have never seen a CV written like this

I wonder what percentage of Minerva students have you tube channels?! It seems like loads for such a small uni

I thought the same!! very patronising. I think it must be a Minerva strategy.

That room is for 3 people?! I would lose my mind living there

I haven't heard of UWC centre?! Is it a good institution? I'll have to check out her channel, I'm curious to see if she gives off similar vibes to Jade and Dinara
It is funny how similar the students seem to be, all veganism and "manifesting", "journaling" etc

wow I have literally stayed in dirt cheap hostels while backpacking that look exactly like that. I feel terrible for them. I did an exchange to Denmark, and they allocated us to accomodation that was off campus in the city (like Minerva) and we all had our own glorious room. I loved living with new people from all over the world in our share-house but having a place to curl up with your laptop and be alone was literally essential - what do these guys do?!?

I learnt about the UWC because a friend of a friend applied to one of those schools (but didn't get accepted) and because of Elena Handtrack. In her video "The cost of having a gifted child" she talks about how she studied and worked really hard to get accepted into UWC. I don't know how good UWC is in comparison to British schools, but apparently it's the "best" way to receive an IB diploma which is like some sort of A-Levels but that are accepted across 75 different countries, so you can study your degree in the UK, the US, Australia, Switzerland and many many other countries...
That's why it shocked me, this girl had thousands of universities to choose from and she went through all of that just for ending up studying at Minerva!?

The room is very cute however it's so packed I would def get claustrophobic during stressful times .. I
I had to stay in a similar tiny teeny room with 3 of my friends but it was only for like a week. We would have killed each other had we stayed longer.
