Ohhhhhh, she DID read it. She’s edited her insta post to add her ‘training’. OK Emma, I guess you ARE qualified then. I hope you’ll continue to think on how there’s no need to capitalise on everything as you so aptly put it. And maybe cool it with the podcast replays?! 😉
 
Or does it read ‘I don’t want to be pigeon holed as a ‘mental health advocate’ as it doesn’t actually pay enough or align with my happy yellow personal brand’.

Burnout is worth having as you make loads of cash working hard and getting it then you get to write and shill a book and go on and on about it on your own platforms. People with serious mental health difficulties don’t usually have that privilege so it stings somewhat that she’s so dismissive about turning it down to ‘rest and live joyfully’. How about helping others where you DON’T gain financially?

At least the High Low did charity events.
 
I think it’s helpful for them to read here! We are their audience. If I was a public figure (no thanks!) I’m sure I’d try to resist and fail!

It IS possible to have a career and not inspire Tattle threads. Katherine Ormerod is a great example. She’s honest, open, knows her brand and audience, writes successfully and absolutely no-one on here has a bad word to say about her.

She’s my favourite and I’ve defended her on Tattle before (but her lack of compliant advertising disclosure is starting to grate).

She owns a property too! Just doesn’t want to sell it at market price.
She does have a thread too. Generally, I enjoy her writing but she’s definitely increased the digs about tattle/trolling (🙄) since her thread was started.

Oh where is her thread? One I was watching is inactive.

True she owns somewhere but still rents. Looks like a massive pain in the arse to me!

I was talking more about audience than industry but I appear to be being proved wrong!

Do we have writers/journos on here? I have lots of friends who do that but not myself.
