Two doors down

There was a cookery programme on the other day with Nick Nairn and Dougie Vipond.
The guest was Alan. I didn’t realise he is actually a wrestler..Grado.
He was really funny and said he only got into acting by accident, except he can’t act so he is just himself.

He's a regular at the Glasgow Pavillion. He's doing a show soon (playing a football fan - no acting required) and he's in the Panto.

It's just a shame that there are loads of trained actors out there and they lose rolls to the likes of Grado.

I've only watched 2of the new episodes so far. Thought the girls night one a bit weak, but I liked the best man one.

I do find with 2DD the episodes are often funnier on a 2nd or 3rd watch. And as said, even an average episode is still better than most other stuff on TV.

I love Christine though ❤ I was rewatching Eric's Colon episode earlier, had me in tears of laughter when she's talking about fisting

"can you imagine it? the whole hand inside...like Sooty' 😂😂😂

I’ve watched up too the one with the new neighbours. I really hope they aren’t going to be permanent. Wasn’t this series filmed during covid restrictions? I know the actor playing Eric had covid.

I will watch the final episode tonight but so far its good but not as good as it was.

I love Christine, I wish Sophie had not left, they were very funny together.

Putting spoiler as it's just aired on telly
Cathy saying to the girls lets watch porno made me laugh more than it should 😂

Was reading the Two Doors Down thread on Digital Spy and someone there claims Doon Mackichan is leaving the role of Cathy after the next series. Really hope it's not true - I can't imagine it without her. If she does leave, they need to bring Daniela Nardini back from the pilot as Beth's awful but glam sister

Does anyone know where I can watch the pilot please? Loved Daniela Nardini in This Life 🙂

I really hope that’s not true.
Also isn’t the sister just Cathy in terms of behaviour? I wasn’t a fan in the pilot of her. Her scenes made me very uncomfortable at parts!

Me too. I absolutely loved the previous episodes & I’ve watched them over & over but the four new episodes are just lacking something & I can’t put my finger on it. I’ll just have to stick to watching the previous series another 300 times !!

This series definitely feels a bit disjointed, and I do think some of the episodes are a bit weaker than usual (there are some old ones that make me cry with laughter, like the anniversary one, Beth's birthday meal, the jacuzzi one, the PPI BQ with the Jamon Ham etc - there's no standouts like those this series).

That said I did really like the Best Man episode, and the last one of the current series, I think they've already filmed (or are filming) the next series, hopefully that will be better.

Something that annoys me - in the 2020 Christmas episode, Ian and Gordon had got engaged. This has never been mentioned since, it's like it didn't happen.

Also in the Best Man episode where Alan's brother says he's going to the Dominican Republic for his honeymoon and Colin says they've been there - this was where he and Cathy got married, surely he would have mentioned that?

I have clearly watched the episodes too many times, I know them better than the writers 😂 😂 😂
