Unfortunately, for Rovaniemi and doing those activities, that's actually quite cheap for her and two kids, all in. If you were to book it with a travel agent, it would cost twice that, at least (I have looked into going, a lot 😭). Yes, you'd get 3 days of a different holiday for cheaper, but for Lapland you'll get nothing cheap.

Her maths is off though, she said it cost 2k, or maybe a bit more, in total. A few minutes later, she says she spent 1k on flights, plus €300 for the huskey ride, and all that was paid over a year ago, and she only needed €500 in her pocket heading over, which covered everything - there's at least €200 unaccounted for there.

Must be getting lessons off the boy manager.

I don't mind that bit, cos families often do that and share bigger accommodation on holidays to save money, at least she gave the full price too... But I'm more interested in seeing if she was meant to have that many there.

She said she'll share it shortly, but no sign yet. She also said they had a spare room for Miriam, so it must have been huge, yet she didn't show much of it at all.

Kowing her, what she showed of the kids setting up camp in the sauna, was actually where she made them sleep 🙈 From Miriam's videos, she did look to have a double room to herself... Can't imagine the other family members being too happy if they all had to cram in together to give her a room to herself - and her not even paying to stay there... So very interested to see how many it's actually meant to sleep.

Oh I’m not doubting it’s good value for Lapland, I just mean in general, to spend €2k+ on 3 nights while claiming to be the poor single mother doing on her own blah blah bullshit.

Sleeps 8, me hole... Is that just two bedrooms? A double and a twin? So it sleeps four, and ye threw 5 onto the couches in the sitting room... Or did I miss another couple of rooms? 🙈🙈

If it was anyone else, or it was her only trip in the year, I'd have zero issue with it, and I'd be saying the begrudgery is a bit Irish too - she paid over half of it off, over a year ago, in fairness (if that can be believed!)...

But, I'm an actual solo parent, with none of the help she has, I work full time and pay a mortgage, childcare, etc... and I can't afford to go on a tenth of a nights out / trips away that she does.

I currently have a savings account for Lapland, and have had for nearly two years now... and I'll possibly pay around €2k for 3 nights when I do get to go... But for me, it will be worth it. I'm sure there will be comments passed on me when I go, but duck it, I can justify it. This one doesn't work, despite what her bio says, and she can swan off at the drop of a hat.

That's the case with a lot in this country though... The welfare system is too good to those that can't be arsed working.

i did it diy 2 years ago! It was a complete dream and worth every cent. Saved a fortune diy! Happy to ans any questions you might have on it 😀
