Congratulations!

I am on my first cycle of Clomid this month for weak ovulation/short luteal phase (6 days usually 😬). In the end it was my GP who prescribed although I also see an endocrinologist for other issues and he approved.

I want to be positive it will work but now the other issue we have is that my husband has apparently low morphology 😭(1.5%). He was due to repeat the test but they are no longer taking appts because of covid.

Has anyone had any luck with low morphology? The evidence I could find online is very controversial. A few places say we would need to go straight to ICSI 😳 the joys of dr google sometimes!

Hope we all get our bfp in the end, who would have ever imagined it would be so tough (well certainly not me!)

we conceived with 1% morphology. 28% motility and 39 mil total count

Hey all, I'm 10 DPO and trying to hold off testing. I'm trying to change my mentality from thinking "when can I test?" to expecting my period to arrive so I don't drive myself mad but it's so hard. I spend most of the TWW convinced it won't happen then allow myself to get my hopes up at this sort of time 🙈 I think if there is no sign of my period by Wednesday then I'll test but will try not to before then.

Hey girls, hope you're all ok. I have a question. I did a pregnancy test 2 days ago (AF due this sat) and had the faintest of lines but there was deffo something, so I did it again yesterday and nothing. I have one digital CB left and didn't want to waste it just yet. I read that OPKs can sometimes read it too so I did one and got this...what do you think?

Hey ladies,

Looks like the OPKs were right. I now have 3 positive tests which is great. I also have covid so hoping it doesn't interfere with anything. I am already very nauseous, just like with my first. Wish me luck. Sending so much love and luck to you all. This was our fourth month trying, the things we did different was I used the ClearBlue digital ovulation sticks rather than the cheapos. I also didnt take the luisa coq10 tablets (I had for 3 mths), choosing to get the more expensive ovulation sticks instead. Obviously, might just be luck but I thought I'd let you know. Xxx

Congratulations 😊❤ I also used the clear blue digital ovulation sticks this month and found them really helpful. I think I'm out this month, think AF is starting, but will get more next month.

has anyone had any issues with coming off contraception?
My coil was due to be taken out in November and I called the doctors early September so we could start trying but was told the doctors aren’t taking them out at the moment (due to COVID) so I’ve waited until this week, called the doctors and the doctor is refusing to do them right now so was pointed to the sexual health clinic but there’s a 6 month+ waiting list

I’m at a loss of what to do and was hoping I’d be pregnant by now but the thought of having to wait another 6 months is awful

Working my way through this thread so apologies if you’ve already had this resolved but they should definitely remove it! I called my GP two weeks ago to make an appt for the removal of mine and a week later they removed it! Maybe try and speak to a different GP and say this is affecting your mental health x

Thanks for giving me hope! Ovulated today (most likely based on bbt, fertility monitor etc) cd 17 first cycle on clomid. It is still later than i thought but 2/3 days earlier than usual. Fingers crossed luteal phase will be decent rather than the usual 6-8 max days :( Went for an aggressive strategy with the hubby having sex every day for 5 days until today, he is rather exhausted haha. Have been obsessing a bit about the morphology thing but stories like yours keep me a bit more positive. How long did it take you to conceive your baby?

Thanks for setting this forum up! I’m new to all of this and can’t believe I never knew anything about ovulation and my cycle before! 🤣 not told anyone apart from my husband that we’re trying so it feels really nice to have a forum to learn from when you can’t ask your friends for advice. I’ve ordered some ovulation strips and started taking folic acid. Due to work and schedules we currently only have sex 1-2 times a week but looking at everyone posts we need to be seriously upping that haha ❤️

we conceived in 12 cycles. We were doing similar to sperm meets egg. I ovulated a few days different every cycle. But we would do every other day from cd 12. Then when I got a peak opk we would do that day and 2 days after. The month we conceived we did that peak day and 3 days after.
I was using ovusense, and looking at my temp rises... I think after I got a peak opk I didn’t actually ovulate to 48 hours after. So I think that extra day helped out!
we were told to go straight to ivf with icsi because of husbands numbers... but I found a few women who managed to conceive on similar numbers so we wanted to give ourself some time to try naturally. We lost the baby at 16 weeks. So I’m waiting to start cycles again... but we Will again try naturally.

I’m in the same position - my OH works shifts so we average sex twice a week. Sometimes it’s more, sometimes less. Obviously we make more of an effort if I’m in my fertile window, but there’s times where we can’t if we literally don’t see each other if our work hours totally clash!

I am so sorry for your loss :( thank you for sharing your experience and baby dust to you.
I use ovu sense too - quite helpful due to my irregular cycles etc.
I am really not sure how well we timed it this month as it was first time on clomid and using OPKs so didn't know what to expect - plus my BBTs remain quite erratic (I always start producing CM 7/10 days before Ov day and ovusense shows me every month I have at least a couple of failed ovulation attempts before it finally happens). So we had sex on cd13 to cd17 every day but despite fertile mucus for days and ambiguous BBTs , peak opk was not until yesterday (cd17). This morning my opk was still peak positive but husband is too exhausted, no way we can do it today! . A bit annoying that we probably started too early and will miss today but oh well - next month we will plan out everything a bit better to make it less stressful

ah yeah Iv had a good few months where opks basically matched, ovusense showed a rise in temp but then it went back down! So I think I tried to ovulate.... then about a week later I would get a proper peak and bbt would rise properly.. but that point we we’re tired, and so didn’t time BD correctly! It’s really hard when ovulation date can change, or you get failed attempts, so much harder to time!! I used to get so frustrated with it all when my body would mess me around!!
iv just started using my ovusense again to see what my bodies up to. We do want to start ttc as soon as possible.... just because if it takes another year... and I keep panicking I’m getting no younger!

It is reassuring that it is not just me! best of luck to you!! :) do you have pcos? I have hashimoto thyoriditis (mild form and well-controlled with meds). Have always had irregular cycles before and after the pill and struggled with chin acne. I am slightly hairier than normal although I would not class that as hirsutism. I am a healthy weight and all my bloods and ultrasound were normal, aside from my progesterone which either shows no ovulation or a 'very weak' one (according to ovusense I do ovulate but it's always late and my luteal phase is basically non-existent). Not quite clear what's wrong with me but there is definitely something XD

I wonder what the % of men with altered morphology etc is within couples who have conceived - they only test when there is a problem so it's not really known how common these issues are on average. We only found out about my husband because the gp practice's protocol is that a SA needs to be done first before prescribing clomid. He is due to repeat it due to the altered value but because of covid the lab is shut

the month we conceived we actually had sex the least we had done in months in the fertile window. We only had sex twice and it worked for us 🙂 just takes that one right moment I suppose. Great you’ve started folic acid as well. I also took pregncare conceive plus but not religiously and often alternated in with taking folic acid.
wish you lots of luck and hope you get that BFP soon 💖

Hi everyone, this is a super helpful forum, so glad I came across it! I recently started using the Clear Blue Ovulation Kit and I typically get the static smiley for one day a month. I read here some people are getting flashing smileys a few days before the static smiley and I’m wondering if my fertility window is a lot shorter than others? Was wondering if anyone else’s went from blank circle immediately to a static smiley? I test once a day in the morning, the day after my period finishes. (I hope this all makes sense, thanks in advance!)

Hey I got a blank circle on cycle day 9 then 3 days of flashing smileys then static which stays for 48 hours. I think the flashing smiley is detecting an estrogen rise, some women's aren't high enough to detect but as long as you get a static I don't think it would be a problem x

I used them 2 months and I only ever got the circle then a smiley for 1 day.

Hi, everyone!
My partner and I stopped using contraception after Christmas, and I'm now in the two week wait period of my second cycle.
The first cycle, we tried for a baby on the day my Flo app said I should be ovulating. For the second cycle, I bought the ClearBlue ovulation strips, and we tried on the evening when I first saw a smiley face prop up - two days before my app said I should be ovulating. We usually only are intimate once a week; but do you think it would be better to try more than once during that period? Sorry if I sound naïve - I stupidly thought getting pregnant would be simple but it's such a short window of time to actually conceive; it's so stressful! Thanks in advance.
