Triona McCarthy

Her stories today about being stopped by 4 people in Kildare village who said she broke the news of the Queens death really annoyed me. On Thursday she was in London and started screeching in her stories asking if anyone knew if the Queen was dead as she had met an Australian/American journalist in the hotel who said she was. Put a question box up asking the question. Then today she’s making out she got the info cos she works in a newspaper and she knows people on the news desk and also knows somebody in Sky News. She’s full of it. I actually thought was very disrespectful on Thursday when she was in London in a public area that looked like hotel bar/lobby screeching “Is the Queen dead”. Thinks she’s hilarious but in actual fact she’s not, she’s quite common at times despite all the notions she has of herself.

I personally have absolutely zero time for the British Monarchy so I found it quite funny! It's the Irish insta huns with a ridiculous hard on for a dead foreign Monarch of whose country invaded killed many civilians on Irish soil I find quite baffling

There was nothing funny about it, regardless of whoever she was talking about be it an actor/royal/politician, she shouldn't have been so flippant. She expects all her followers to be sympathetic towards her when she talks of her own deceased relatives - her sister and her father. The Queen was somebodys Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother as well as a public figure.

I think its just different perspectives really. The Queen was a public figure her personal relationships of mother or grandmother etc are in my opinion irrelevant. All the victims of the British monarchy were somebody's father or brother or mother or sister.
I don't feel Triona was disrespectful she was asking was a public figure dead, it's hardly a crime.

Not a crime, but she was flippant and disrespectful. She could have updated her stories when the news was confirmed to perhaps show a bit of dignity. If it was a designer or a stylist she might have bothered.

I understand your point of view but I really don't think there was any great need to be displaying any reverence or that she was undignified. It's a foreign public figure that passed away at a grand old age after a long reign in an office that's caused a lot of pain and heartbreak to many Irish families. I wish that particular old lady no ill will but I'd be feeling pretty indifferent about the death of a foreign monarch and if Triona was flippant what harm!
Flippant, somber, sad or indifferent makes absolutely no feckin difference shes dead and we are all entitled to feel however we want without having to be paying any notice of so called protocol. Triona is not British she's Irish.
I'd probably be more invested if it WAS a fashion designer, it would be more relevant to the field🙂

She was odd/flippant about death that time when her daughter asked her why there were floral tributes placed beside water when they were out for a walk. They had been placed there after a tragedy, it had been widely reported in the news etc. Triona sort of airily replied "well I imagine someone pawssed away daaarling" and that was the end of it.
Sometimes I think Triona isn't capable of processing tragedies/deaths/serious, sad stuff if it doesn't directly effect her, so she ends up seeming to get the tone wrong.

I have never seen her hang out with Louise cooney other than Armani trip, Trina now seems to think they are besties, 1000 birthday posts

OK says at podcast awards she listens when she brings her kids to the cinema but fails to mention she only brings the kids when it's a freebie.
In fact does she ever spend decent money entertaining her kids, like a family hol abroad or a day out that is NOT a freebie. I can honestly say I have never ever seen her doing these things....
