Okay so I’m in the dental field. Bottles and pacifiers should be taken away at 1. It can cause bottle rot or baby teeth to come in crooked. My coworkers son, you could stick your finger completely in between his teeth while he was completely closed from the pacifier. It can cause issues with your upper palate. I understand how hard it is for parents to do it, but at the same time you can be causing yourself more problems in the future if it’s not done, and more money. I’ve had to do a lot of “baby root canals” on teeth. Getting children 3,4,5,6 numb is not fun!!! Baby teeth are holding the spot for grown up teeth, they need to be taken care of as if they where grown up teeth. Bottle rot can effect the grown up teeth if the decay is completely though the baby teeth. We can call CPS for bottle rot.
