Going out on a limb, my guess is he’s not where he should be academically. I’m sure the curriculum at his speech school was slightly different . Unless her parents decided this for him. Tracy shows face, her parents do the work.

Last year he was in transitional K at his speech school. The school is for infants - transitional K and then helps their students mainstream into their local K, so he’s not technically repeating.
