Didn't watch that Road Trip one either as the whole premise just seemed tit. Like, who cares about them driving?

It seems like Rob maybe have taken over the podcast again as Jake and Ben were crucified for talking about hoovers for ages.
 
The latest video was another weird one. Definitely doesn't seem to be quite right between Rob and Jake, especially as they shuffled him off on the Sunday for Chris. I got the feeling they needed to do an appearance together as Reddit was going mental. The vid itself was clearly a bit of rush job.
 
Yeah I agree it was weird, Rob was acting like he was too good to be at Damnation which is an awesome event. I’m glad Mary really enjoyed it and kept an Open mind. That festival used to be at Leeds uni for many years cause I’ve been a few times, I’m surprised they never mentioned that. They seemed shocked people in bands sold merch I thought they’d have known that with the amount of gigs and festivals they’ve done!
Would’ve liked to have seen more of them inside the festival and not going out after and eating maccies!
 
Yeah watched it last night but can only remember them playing crappy games for ages. Probably just the two of them added to the lack of content as well.
 
Rob is just phoning it in. He is tired, he's bored. Choccy is usually my least favourite but this time he was genuinely happy amd knew loads about the music and was having a great time. They're useless when they are bored and going thru the motions. I can't see it going on at the rate they've been going. Burn out and boredom will kill TPD TV if the crappy fried food doesn't get them first.

Im still waiting for the ball to drop for Rob that a lot of people were watching to see a group of mates having a good time- not to see their opinions of festivals/events they obviously don’t enjoy but are too scared to say that they didn’t enjoy it for fear of upsetting anyone.
It was really nice to see Choccy enjoying himself though.
 
I think that's it. I like the idea of Festivals and I really enjoy live and new music but I'm not a huge drinker and eat carefully. I'm well past pizza and greasy kebabs for 4 days straight. I also don't enjoy seeing Mary get messy and belligerent and wander around shitfaced in unsafe situations. The guts on the lads show me they're not coping well with this as a continuous lifestyle. Rob is more stressed about editing and keeping the money rolling in and keeping the rest of them working. It's not spontaneous, it's not much fun to watch the same old moans. Rob only likes a few bands and doing drunk karaoke to the same old songs. The hip hop Festival wasn't ever going to suit him so why go?
 
They clearly have connections so I don’t understand why they aren’t laying off the drink for parts of the festival and getting themselves backstage for interviews with artists, talking to organisers behind the scenes etc. like showing us more of the festival that we couldn’t see than just the beer tent and standing in front of the stage. Like I already know I can get a pint and sing along to a song!
 
The podcast has become more ‘relatable’ lately since Ben took over. Just mates chatting about their life rather than recapping the latest video/festival. Damnation felt a bit ‘look we are still all mates with Jake after burning man’ . Considering Rob goes on about how much he loves live music they barely show any music? Every video follows a formula so they can get everything they want to mention in a video- price of food/drinks/ toilets/travel whatnot.
I am very thankful there has been less of Razz lately though🫡
 
Scratch that- this weeks pod was full of Rob bragging he can only enjoy himself when he’s ‘creating’, openly admitting he only enjoys himself if he’s filming or being filmed like it’s a good thing? Him and Raz both came across so cocky, feels like they’ve got the attitude of ‘doesn’t matter where we go or what we do we know how to make a video that makes money so it doesn’t matter’ is that really how the channel started? Was it not mates recording their memories? Or is that just what he says to pull on the patreon supporters heart strings?
 
His comments about Blackpool have really rubbed me the wrong way. He’s a classist prick.

I noticed that they made another Joke about Jake in the latest US festival video and then put *sorry reddit* on the screen. Just goes to show he has no idea why the audience turned on him for how he treated Jake and his GF. He thinks it’s just trolls.

As someone who’s from Bpool, he’s not wrong. It’s a shithole and he literally went to the worst parts 😂
 
I visited Blackpool on a Monday and it was just the same. Nothing open, depressing and filthy. Literally nothing worth stopping to see and we couldn't even park. It was freezing. I took a video for my Mum who grew up therebut really couldn't wait to carry on with our drive.

I’m from there too but I just think they didn’t give it a chance! Like it’s got its own shithole charm but they acted like being there gave them some trauma 😂

Also everyone knows it’s a summer place, why they’d go in winter is beyond me

They did something along the same lines years ago when they went to Whitby ‘the home of the goths’ not on goth weekend and then complained there was no goths 😂
