I tried searching but what with all the uses of TH and that being confused with Tom Hanks etc it was very hard to piece it all together- could someone do a little recap for me?
 
God I cant remember all of it because it descended into everyone taking the piss out of him and a bunfight between a couple of posters!
I think basically what it boiled down to was that he has lots of lovers, he has an ongoing FWB 'relationship with one of the posters ( who I thought was in love with him, but she denied) he likes BDSM, he is only 'friends' with Zawe Ashton, even though they live together.
Lots of people couldn't bear the 'Tom' gossip so we were all banned from speaking about him. I cant wait for Loki but am bloody paying for Disney + until June because my kids want to watch all the guff that's coming out in between ( although WandaVision was good...)

IIRC he hates being tied to Loki for so long and will be happy to be out of it and there was something about the HiddleSwift fiasco, I think he was all for the publicity stunt (the t-shirt was his idea maybe?) and doesn't like to be told how best to go about stuff so it inevitably blew up in his face.

Yes that was it. He must have been forced into doing 2 seasons of the Loki TV series ( when Wandavision and Falcon/ Winter Soldier is only a 1 season commission!) I did think that made her sound like a TH fangirl rather than a lover, as her signed up for it. I also automatically think an actor is a twit if they complain about being paid millions of ££ to endure such suffering as to do a superhero franchise!

No one chased her off, they questioned her stories about her being with everyone except the Queen.
And it was suggested she have her own thread where posters could fill with "have you been with celeb A? Celeb B ----celeb z?"
Many would have happily continued hearing TH stories. The name Tom became a running joke because posters would confuse which famous Tom was being discussed. I created a Toms file to help 🤣
Tom Holland - Spiderman with stupid eyebrows and stupid dad (Dominic)
Tom Hollander - lovely small guy played Rev and later villain in the night manager
Tom hiddleston - the lead in night manager, overrated series and he got ideas of playing Bond after the typical annual Sun and Daily Mail who's the next Bond circus
Tom Daly - swimmer married to scary looking guy
Tom hardy - large bloke always plays a rough geezer
Tom hughes - plays prince Albert in Victoria and was real life bf to Jenna Coleman.
Tom Hanks - is tom hanks
Tom cruise - weirdo

I realised I missed Tom selleck! 😳

Tom Selleck - Magnum (not the ice cream). Big moustache!

Iirc I didnt think she was chased off by any regular poster but by people who had seen the thread and outed her irl. I may be misinterpreting what I read though. She always answered people on this thread. We mostly said we didnt care if it was true or not. She may have been talking crap but Insta models and reality TV types get paid to turn up to parties and escort/ yachting etc so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that page 3 girls did the same thing in the 90's.
 
So here’s my opinion for all its worth
It’s human nature to question what we are told and it’s human nature to find holes in stories and question those and how we are answered to what we then believe, And whether the story teller is being truthful or deceptive
think to when we catch a politician out
When this poster was questioned in a way that dug further they where met with normally hostile reply’s or belittling that there celeb crush wasn’t what they thought
Only if the questions benefited the narrative do they ReSpond
The stories where in general so far fetched that the everyday person could not question there truth you had to be in the know to know
And let’s face it those in though know are not on tattle
It’s normal I guess to want to be closer to the celebs on the tv through one person even if that’s a forum on the internet than the reality of being 5/6 connections away from them and their world but I don’t think The hunger for Wanting to believe fantasy stories is the way To connect with them and the way forward

always question the stories your told and if your met with childish and hostile reply’s don’t believe a word of it
Facts and truth creates a calm story teller
Not a defensive one :)

You are right, and I dont think people really cared whether it was true or not. Why would we? We arent Tom's friends or family. Even his most devoted fans dont know what hes like, just what he and his PR want us to know, just like all celebs. People giggling about some anonymous silly stories about a celeb is far less concerning I think than 'stan' culture, where people refuse to believe anything bad about their favourite celeb because they think they know them and then start abusing people who dont follow their narrative. It allows celebrities to get away with dodgy behaviour because they have blindly loyal fans who will support them no matter what and in some rare cases, exploit them like Armie Hammer. Most gossip and Blinds are complete fantasy anyway. Once she left, we were left with boring gossip about ITV presenters and reality TV stars!
 
No I don’t think they cared, and I also don’t think they should As what they get up to is really none of our buisness unless it breaks the law or effects us, but gossip shouldn’t come at the exspense of others and some of the stuff they where saying was potentially harmful
I can’t say Iam a person that gets infatuated with the world of famous and what they do
The ones I’ve met have been normal folk doing a job
There’s arrogance and nasty folk in all walks Of life and normal folk and celebs
What I don’t like about what I read on those post is how Potentially damaging it was to that industry as a whole and how comfortable they where with slating everyone
If they where not gay there where brutal and if not brutal they liked being whipped It just got more and more into Fantasy
It was story telling and crap story telling too and whether celebs put themselves in the public eye or not do they deserve that? Does any one?
Harmless talk about the affair with the gardener etc is 🤷‍♀️ Whatever really
But people like that poster MM no they are dangerous imo

And yes quite agree the blindly loyal screaming fans do nothing to help them and their egos
