Afraid to say this is 100% on The One Show/casting at BBC - can tell you from professional experience they do no want authors who aren't celebrity. End of. It's really frustrating.

If Tom and Amy win I genuinely think there would be a riot! Rose/Gio and John/Johannes both have the trailblazer element going for them, and people are enjoying watching their journey, plus everyone is loving the AJ/Kai romance rumours and I think most people (i.e. me) would be happy with any of them winning - Tom and Amy haven’t been mentioned as favourites by anyone I know!
