Amy is completely non-threatening, which is why Tom likes her so much. He's too egotistical to possibly like anyone who might outshine him - or god forbid, not tiptoe around him like the star he is!

I'm so sad we didn't get a Tom/Katya or Tom/Oti partnership. He would've hated it.

Ha, this is definitely true!
His problem is that he can't seem to hide his emotions at all. I thought he looked really strained when Claudia mentioned Gi yesterday. He looks like he wishes Gi would just go away and let him get on with his fun. It's especially apparent when you've got Dan Walker being so lovely and appreciative of his wife all the time!

I particularly enjoyed his face last night when AJ (omg, thought she was amazing) got higher marks. He thought he was going to top the leaderboard and he looked like he was fuming by the end!!!

Him and Carrie both seem to hate seeing other people doing well or better than them. Carrie can never praise or watch her understudies, and Tom can never give other kids' authors any shine. I also remember that he bleeping hated JLS, who were at the peak of their popularity when Above The Noise came out, and used to slyly shade them all the time. He didn't mind One Direction, but I think that's because Niall was a massive McFly fan and they were paid to write songs for them.

The fact that him and Carrie are both that way can't be a coincidence - their parents have some reflecting to do. It's so important to teach children to celebrate others' achievements and to recognise that they can't always be the best at everything. I bet their mum was a "Oh they only got the role over you because of xyz, you were robbed!!!" kind of parent. I'd imagine he's continuing this cycle with his own kids.

They mega remind me of some people I used to be friends with (a brother and sister) who had been raised by their parents to think that the world owes them a favour. They expected the world to drop into their laps and when things didn’t go their way they would full on throw strops about it, when the reason things didn’t go their way was because they’d done nothing to get it and didn’t acknowledge that sometimes there’s going to be people better than them at something or more deserving.

I think Tom and Carrie have been raised the same way. I think their parents have blown smoke up their arses their whole life and haven’t raised them to realise that actually they won’t always be number one.
 
Everything about Giovanna is so matronly. She’s really frumpy. She just doesn’t seem to make an effort with her appearance in anyway - the boring limp hair that does nothing for her and that doesn’t seem to get regularly washed or brushed and is never ‘done’ for any public appearance. She doesn’t seem to wear any make up, her choice of clothes is that of a woman twice her age. She just looks old and boring and like she’s really let herself go. She’s a millionaire/married to a millionaire - she has all the resources to sort herself out and make the best of herself but doesn’t. Ok I’m not suggesting that when she’s sitting around at home or whatever that she’s dolled up to the nines but the problem is she looks no different at the moment when she’s at home in her joggers & baggy T-shirt’s to when she’s out at a public event like an awards show or watching in the strictly audience. I find it a bit weird.

I’m 50 now but when got poorly with underachieve thyroid and felt to me like now ex husband was going off me I started being like G. Now I’m not a big fan of hers as find her too smug. However, if she’s not happy IF they do split I’ll think she’ll shine.

I’m not a fan of Tom at all but Gi seems to be involving herself into his strictly journey way too much. It’s like she can’t let him enjoy the experience by himself and can’t allow for it to be all about him for once. Yes he has a wife, yes he has a family but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t get to enjoy things for himself for once. I couldn’t cope with her breathing down my neck all the time. It’s uncomfortable to watch her insert herself into every part of his time on strictly.

Exactly this. I don't think I've seen any partner /wife/husband of any celeb ever be this involved.
 
She's trying too hard to seem ok with it all. Problem is, Tom is clearly enjoying this bit of freedom and just wants her to piss off until it ends.

The thing is, Amy is never in a million years going to leave her partner and run away with Tom. If Giovanna could leave things alone, Tom would be back down to earth with a bump come January and things would go back to normal. Maybe even a bit of absence making the heart grow fonder once he realises Amy isn't head over heels for him. By forcing herself into this experience, she's 'ruining' it for Tom (in his head) and he'll be sick of the sight of her in January.

She is 100% insecure but she shouldn’t be. It really shows I feel little sorry for her. But yes you are absolutely right, this isn’t about her. She’s had her time in I’m celeb and she should let him have his own experience. It reeks of desperation.

I came on to say this! Gio needs to back off a tad, this is his thing. Desperate springs to mind. My old boss was like this with her husband and it’s cringe
