Just binge watched this! It’s madness!
I’m on episode 3 - about the missing husband. And WOW it’s hard to know where to even start. It certainly doesn’t go where you expect. Episode 3 could be it's own Netflix series really. I've got to say she looks guilty as sin, but I'm sure there's another perspective to it. The daughters and ex-wife are the epitome of the bitter spurned first wife and children, so i find them especially untrustworthy. Ah but this isn't really what the show is about is it?
Says alot about this documentary that a mans disappearance without a trace, with his wife is the chief suspect is only a subplot.
Love Louis Theroux so I’ll need to watch this.Just finished this. OMFG it’s the most utterly bonkers thing I’ve ever seen! I can’t even begin to get my head around it!
Someone mentioned earlier that Louis Theroux did an episode about exotic pets in the US which featured this guy so I just watched that on iPlayer. Very interesting after you’ve seen the docu-series.
The nanny selecting was horrible! All I could think was that his wife looked like his daughter.Just finishing the last episode. What do people think is the true story? I think it's possible Joe was tricked/ encouraged into incriminating himself by Jeff and his cronies . He seems much smarter and more cunning. Also how gross is that bit at the end about him choosing a nanny? The fact he doesn't event really try to hide his intentions makes me think his indiscretions must be vast. His poor pregnant wife "some potential nannies are bilingual, that would be good" OK keep telling yourself that's why he's picking them love...
Apparently it’s because they were there for years - which is insane in itself cause I’d want to leave after 5 minutes in their crazy companyI do question the amount of access... they seem to have practically everything on film
Even the really shocking thing they get the reaction to on cctv, you know what I’m talking about (won’t say more, tho it feels so crass to call it a ‘spoiler’)
Not that I think it’s fake. But they seem to have got so much conflict on camera...
If you are sensitive to animal suffering I wouldn't watch it. It didnt show anything graphic but tigers in a cage and on chains was enough for me. I wasn't able to make it past the first episode.

I thought a lot of the zoo owners were really arrogant and narcissistic, I think they would have loved being filmed and the fact it would be watched by so many people on Netflix.
a crazy show! Need to watch the Louis Theroux documentary now.
I’ll try and watch tonight! Can’t beat a bit of Louisplease watch it so I have someone to discuss it with . I found the monkey people on the Louis doc even more disturbing than Joe
