I always think of Natalie Woodward, she is stage four and had total pelvic removal although, she was able to keep her bladder ( this isn’t easy for her though). She has been so open, so educatIqbal about it, I had never heard of it until I saw her posts. Her cancer in all likelihood will, at sone point, come back, but that surgery has bought her time ( I hope years). It’s not easy and she deals with a lot every day, hiwever she and Tiff are young, Tiffany is a fool to not take it. Nobody is saying it will be easy, but it could give her years, it could potentially cure her and whatever quality of life she has afterwards at least she knows the cancer ( tumour) is out. Her life now is awful, constant pain, bleeding, morphine.
Yeah, I know stage 3 and 4 colorectal female cancer patients who had radical surgery. All kept their bladder. Bladder is mostly removed for advanced uterine cancer. For rectal cancer in men if bladder is affected try to do partial removing. Total removing of bladder is last resort. Because it is connected with lots of complications with high morbidity a mortality. PE is individual for each patients.

"good news" would mean no distant metastasis which would mean surgery can be done.
But is a "pelvic exenteration" something to look forward to ? And would it cure the cancer ? Or at least prolong life expectancy ? If so, how much time will it buy her ? At what expense, having to live with stomas ?
either way, there won´t be reason to rejoice I reckon
It would cure cancer. Many people live active healthy life with stomas. Let’s hope for good news, no metastasis, she would proceed with surgery.

If you didn’t know her background, you’d swear she was a middle class white girl who grew up with a pony, ballet classes and every other advantage those types are accustomed to. Make it make sense.
I think a lot of stuff with her is for a show and has such an inauthentic vibe. She oozes fakeness. The baby voice, the dancing to ring tones, the hauls, the over-eagerness. She is playing a role. Probably even when the cameras are off. I feel she has no identity and no depth so she fills it with all these things. She tries to be deep at times but never suceeds. She is vapid and shallow. I feel she is not a 'fully-formed' adult with 'adult characteristics'. Something is off.

I'm sure this has been mentioned but she did have a surgery back in 2013 where she says in an April 2013 vlog titled Vlog: Food, Mini Haul, NYX that she's not been out of the house in 3 weeks because of her surgery. In the comments she answers questions about surgery with "it was in my tummy, not too comfortable talking about it yet..." Talks about surgery in beginning and again around the 7 minute mark

She said that surgery will only happen if the results are bad (if cancer is found). 'Good' news equals no surgery to her. Which contradicts everything that she told us prior to the 'no surgery' video.

She told us in the comments some time after the 'no surgery' vlog that scar tissue was found around the tumour and that she is hoping that the tumour itself is non cancerous. The scans being clear probably just means no metastases. She never clarified whether the T4B tumour lit up or whether it was biopsied. She said she will ask the surgeon all these questions (suggested by the very helpful commenters) but then of course she never made an effort to do that and update us.

I really hope this is not the case, because nobody should determine their life based on someone else, but I really do get the feeling that one of the main reasons she's so scared of having the surgery is because she thinks Matt would leave her. And tbh, I do think that's a possibility. As someone above mentioned, they haven't been together that long, he's young, it's a lot for him to take on very early on in a relationship. Plus, I actually don't even think their current relationship is as strong as she likes to make out, and this is all before having life-changing surgery! Even though he can be quite dim when it comes to cancer, Matt's got a lot going for him, and he could easily find someone else. I just hope for her sake that Tiffany doesn't prioritise this possibility and make the wrong decision for herself...

Yes, she is convinced that she can be cured without surgery which is a not good idea in my opinion. Even let’s say there no tumor at the moment it can come back not just local recurrence but as a metastasis.
Another problem is the post radiation stricture narrowing of her rectum. It should be dilated.

The vlog when she comes out of hospital ‘confused’ about being told she is stage 4, she says she has the letters, scans, rumour markers etc, yet doesn’t then talk about them! Can she not see this is why people are annoyed with her? Either share your cancer journey or keep it private, but I’d you choose the share it include parts that are actually fundamental in understanding wtf is going on.

But she’s doing it ALL on purpose. That video - im not even convinced there even was an actual appointment. The footage of some random clinic room could literally have been filmed anywhere at any time and they could easily have just gone in and sat in the waiting area to film that stuff. I’m just not convinced at all. She’s a liar.

Agree. What do you make of her constantly taking morphine? Morphine has been present from the start of her journey. I understand she needed it for some time after the radiation but why before that and months after?
Is the post radiation stricture common?

Another problem is the post radiation stricture (narrowing) of her rectum. Usually this kind of changed rectum is usually removed by surgery.

In the beginning a during therapy because of cancer. I don’t know if she took morphine after finishing her treatment. There can be some pain after radiation for some time as you said. After endoscopy she took it because they tried to go through the narrow part which might cause lots of damage to that area. Stricture is one of rare side effects probably it depends on the dose of radiation. In most cases the stricture removed with operation for cancer but if she refuses surgery maybe they would try to dilate with balloon.

Tiffany uses morphine but the dose is teeny tiny. In the video Amma appears to have dosed 1ml. The whole shringe only holds 5ml. Tiffany is taking the absolute minimum dose of Oramorphe.
