I truly think mainland Europe completely overwhelmed them. They are not adventurous people or even interested in travel in any form and they just couldn't deal with different street signs, different languages, the food and lack of public toilets. Every slight inconvenience is a major drama for them.
And don't forget the constant moaning about having to drive on the 'wrong' side of the road as if it were a major surprise 🙄

Which was again a self-made crisis. If you know driving on the right side is that difficult for you, then why are you leaving it to the last two days of Oktoberfest (which is 2 weeks long) to make it there, rushing to Munich in less than 2 days instead of taking your time and adjusting to it with shorter drives and nice park ups where you get enough rest and can get used to life abroad.

They must be storing up content like billyo for their VFUK website as any meaningful content hasn't seen an update since June.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm sure some outfit somewhere has quietly launched a new flavour of tofu or mushroom fibres to the eager vegan foodies of the UK. How come THD haven't updated the VFUK website for all these malnourished underfed vegans to find in their local Co-op or Sainos.

I think they've got bored of the VFUK side of their existence and are rapidly falling out of love with being whinging vanlifers. I think they are quickly realising that cutting links/ties to being a grown up with adult responsibilities like an actual house is now coming to bite them firmly on their bony arses.

It seems to me as if they have realised they've cocked up big time by going all in, without having the backup plan of real life existences like the Campervibe girls - they have kept their house and adjusted their jobs to fit around the vanlife thing.

The bump when it comes will be explosive I expect - but will it get filmed and upped onto the Choob??

That business is as half-assed as their traveling. They post the exact same clips on that Instagram page, that they include in the vlogs. And it's never informative, it's literally them walking to the store shelf and picking it up. End of clip. No nutritional infos, ingredients or even prices listed.

I've said before, I've been following them for about five years from the Vegan Food UK group. It used to be really good, they would post recipes and was more engaging. Liam messaged me once asking if he could repost something I had found however they don't bother now.
A lot of the posts are from the other admins.

I would suggest we don't know if they have a back up plan. Do we 100% know for certain they sold their old home? Yes, they said they did. They could be renting it and remember Liam's granddad died - did they inherit his house or maybe a chunk of money? What if they do have a house on the quiet they rent.

I’m actually surprised they’ve not done anything addressing the cost of living crises and recipe ideas for those on a tight budget/how following a vegan diet can save you money. They’re so out of touch with the real world it’s quite something!

Their previous home was a static caravan on a site near Brighton which they showed moving out of, I believe they did sell it. It was a bit of a state too, run down and full of mould. I don't believe they own a house, but yes they could have inherited something from his grandad that they've kept private.

I remember LTT saying in one of his vids, after they fell out with him, that they actually lived more often in a house than in the van. I suspect they have a large house of their own as every single relative and friend of theirs appears to too!

Nah, they spent their 20s travelling and doing odd jobs and haven't done anything since to bring in a decent enough income to afford a house, hence the caravan which they then sold for a bigger van. They probably plan on van living until some relative does eventually leave them a house. Not that I think they are in that van as much as they make out. I think they spend more time at their parents' homes than they let on.

I think they have must have family down Brighton way as they spend loads of time in that area, certainly with his dad around the middle of the country. I think it is he, who owns the house that is listed on Companies House as their address, maybe someone out Loughborough way as thats where the business registered office is. Then they spend lots of time in Wales or on the scrounge in Scouseland... piss off we don't want you in Wales - I bet that gets curtailed now the pretty bridge is out of commission for a while. Too many scratchy, little roads on Anglesey for Liam and his bramble phobia. :sneaky:

Theres a fair chunk of distance to each location.

For vegans who do also tend to be eco-ists, they don't half life an un eco life - the sheer amount of travel/diesel they do/burn, the crazy amounts of 'single use' carrier bags they buy, the eating out... but the biggy - where the buggery do they dump their rubbish/grey/black waste. I'm guessing they are bin trolls - just dump rubbish in supermarket bins/random wheelie bins.

As for their black and grey waste - why do I get the horrid impression that they are mingers and just pull up next to a road drain and just let it go into the storm system.

They seem to have no scruples when it comes to 'nicking' water from unattended taps at garages or wherever - that drives me bloody mental - thats costing someone somewhere money and they think its perfectly fine and dandy. 🤬

I wondered what the etiquette was around this - do other van lifers do it?
Do I vaguely remember Liam or Janine saying they always buy something from the garage to make up for it. As if some crisps would be enough. They do seem to have a terrible sense of entitlement.

I think their ties to Brighton are mainly friendships from the 5 years they've lived and worked there. Don't think something other than 'caravan with a sea view' attracted them to the area aside from maybe the local vegan food scene.
Janine's birthday gave a pretty good overview where the 3 sets of parents live as well as the van build months when they overstayed their welcome at their parents' homes because they no longer had a place of their own. No idea about any siblings though.

Amazing, how functional a much smaller vehicle can be when you don't make up floor plans while it's being built and change your mind every other day.
Their use of space in that green tin can will never make sense to me, especially the lack of storage for outdoor gear. But then, it's not like they've ever shown an interest in outdoor activities, I guess.

I know, look at the size of "life is too shorts" van, the red micro camper, it's tiny but they said they had done 20 days plus of off grid camping in France so you don't need acres of space. Ok, summer weather makes being in a small van easier and I'm not sure I'd want to go that long with just washing with a bowl of water. But, as an older couple that pair show far more resilience than Liam and Janine who claim to be experienced but melt at the first sign of a problem.

I love looking up interesting van layouts on YouTube, there are so many unique and functional solutions for small spaces.
Just imagine what an amazing video they could have created, had they gone to someone who designs small living spaces. Might have even been able to freeload the service in exchange for exposure. An architect would have also prevented them from putting all the heavy parts (shower, log burner area with heavy tiles, kitchen) on one side of the van and distributed the weight evenly. Professionals also focus a lot on creating storage area in places with awkward angles and unused space which they seem to have none of.

They’ve got storage under the seating area and some storage either side of walk through from the cab. I think the issue was they didn’t want any advice on layout - they wanted to decide what they wanted and kept changing their mind. A specialist would have wiped hands of them two weeks into the project because of wasted time and not listening. LTT tried and they wouldn’t listen.
