I agree!! When I first started going out clubbing etc when I was 17/18…..so 20 years ago now, a lot of bars and clubs had dress codes, no trainers, black trousers for lads etc and just in general they had standards, everyone used to look so much nicer! Nowadays no where has that and some people go out looking like they ve been dragged through a hedge backwards or just forgotten to get dressed at all!!
Or like they don’t even own mirrors 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

She looks like she’s wearing a prison outfit 🤣🤣🤣

As we're all entitled to our opinions I'm just putting it out there that I don't think there's anything pretentious about having a dress code and standards. The decline in standards has led to low self esteem and people thinking that its OK to do the school run or go to the supermarket in your dressing gown! Dressing appropriately for certain occasions is manners. IMO.
I get what you mean, I don’t mind it for myself but I know my children would feel uncomfortable and wouldn’t enjoy it.
My children always look presentable, but they have their own style which I love, probably wouldn’t met the high standards of some places so we wouldn’t go and I’m fine with that.
