She was full of excuses after her last attempt at Abingdon - similar weather too if I recall correctly. Please someone enlighten me though on what is so hard in her life? Or is she referring to having to do things for herself whilst her mother was incapacitated? She has 2 kids who can do most things for themselves. She doesn’t work. She said she spends most of the day plan the phone chatting to “friends.” She has one friend over every Monday for cake. She chooses to do most of her sessions for her block in the evening when the girls are home. She goes to the gym during the day. Her mum does her cleaning and washing and likely much much more. She must spend hours online with all her snarky comments about posts people have written. She goes out for meals with friends. Does she ever take the girls plus or minus their father? Most of all, she is such a self righteous woman who is almost always appearing to criticise/look down on others. And then there’s the empowering books she consumes but still does nothing.

She has Kels and mystery friend (slimming Fiona? Tattooed person?) supporting her. I find some people on instagram infuriating but she is so baffling, she is full of contradictions.

Anyway, given the GSR is cancelled, it will be interesting to see how tomorrow goes. I hope it isn’t too bad for all the runners.

The constant posting is ultra sad and you’re right, nobody cares. Mind you, 3:20 is operating in a different stratosphere to Kelly, who will forever be a 4+ hour marathoner despite her elite athlete life.

She’s 41. She turned 41 in the summer though so I don’t know what that means about times.

Just checked, she needs 3:35 to qualify for 2026 Boston, so she’s got 12 minutes, which should be enough. This year, people needed nearly 8 minutes though!

I know people think Jemma trains sensibly and recovers well but that doesn’t excuse her from being an absolutely self-centred moonboot.

When is someone going to tell her that the big questions in life don’t involve shall I run in a pack or on my own?

Also her acting like the entire field is insanely abnormally fast as she only came 30 something female. I don't know how big of a race abingdon is but it's not exactly a tiny race where she could expect to win.

Totally. Also with her passive aggressive digs at people in fancy dress overtaking her as though only slow people who don’t care about running run in fancy dress.

There’s a guy who lives near me who is fast AF who only runs in fancy dress (even normal runs- because that’s what he does and he doesn’t care). He does it all for charity. She’s so closed off to what other people might do in life.

Who leaves it days before washing their hair after running that kind of distance? Doesn’t she often promote the fact she can wash and dry it in like 7 mins? So no excuse. Filthy mare.

She’s so closed off to what other people might do in life.

That’s her big problem isn’t it. Simple small town girl who has had a comfortable life, judging absolutely everybody else and not having a single thought in her tiny brain that her way isn’t the only way. The hypocrisy about being judgemental always gets me as well. Filming people and taking the piss. Then there’s the ‘Ooh the mums at the school gates weren’t very nice’ - they were most likely just thinking about themselves and the tit they had to deal with each day, not giving a thought to little miss princess.

It's quite a popular run with local clubs so quite pacey. It's not a "party at the back" type of race.
